Note Seven (Family Issues)

"Trey..." Drake said gently walking towards me, I was sobbing. I crawled into his arms, shaking and crying.

"Trey, baby what happened?"

"Grant's my dad..." Drake's eyes grew wide and confused.

"What? How is that possible?"

"He's been alive all this time." I got up and brushed myself off, Grant came barging in the room. "Go away."

"Look I know you're mad but Ruby's missing!" Grant said in a panic. I felt my heart sink, Ruby was now my family and she's an innocent little girl.

"Ok calm down, what happened?"

"I went to go get Levi and Ruby to eat and only Levi was there." I looked over at Levi who was slowly backing away. I knelt down to his level, the poor kid was shaking.

"Hey kiddo, do you know where Ruby went?" I asked softly, Levi teared up and shook his head. "Levi, sweetie you won't be in trouble. Where's our sister?" Levi looked at me still shaking with tears flooding down his cheeks.

"The shadow man took her." he said quietly, shadow man? Well that's a new one.

"Levi, I told you he's not real." Grant said, putting his hand on Levi's shoulder.

"How do you know that?" I asked, looking at Grant. I stood up and stepped closer to Grant. "We're all freaks with magical powers running from a mentally insane President, I'm pretty sure anything is possible."

"Then what do we do? Trey we don't know what this thing is." as Grant was speaking my head started pounding.

"Trey? Are you ok?" Drake asked, I shook my head and leaned against Drake. I felt like my brain was swelling in my skull. I started screaming in pain, I was sobbing and hyperventilating then I just blacked out. I woke up after I didn't know how long dazed and confused, I looked around and saw everyone staring at me, Drake was holding me in his arms, my head was still pounding. The door opened, Grant and Valentina rushed to me.

"Trey sweetie, what happened?" asked Valentina, rubbing my shoulder.

"I don't know, my head just started pounding and I just remember pain." I felt dizzy, it was like the room was spinning. I looked up at Grant who seemed very stressed, he was crossing his arms and rubbing his forehead. "Don't worry about me, we need to find Levi."  I said starting to get up, I felt weak and light headed, I leaned on Drake for support.

"Trey you can barely stand babe." Drake said, holding me up. If he wasn't there I would have just fallen down. All I could think about was Ruby and what could've happened to her. First of all who was the "shadow man" and what did he want with Ruby? Second, how do we stop him? Third, where was Elliott?

"Drake, there's something wrong." I said, looking around me. My head was throbbing in pain. I held my head, then my stomach started turning, it felt like someone took a knife and was twisting it inside me. Drake picked me up and carried me to a bed where I just laid there in a ball. As I layed there I felt fluid filling up in my body.

"She needs a hospital." Grant said.

"Grant no it's too risky." I said breathlessly, I remembered the last time I was in a hospital my mom died.

"Trey you'll die if you don't." Grant was feeling my forehead for a fever, he looked almost scared. I even heard fear in his voice. I tried to say no again but I was getting weaker and weaker to the point where I could barely breathe. I started to cry in pain, Grant picked me up and started running down the hallway.

"Wait Grant! You'll never make it on time." Hydro came running after us.

"Then what do I do?"

"Use me." Hydro held out his hand creating a vortex near a hospital.
