suna's eyes lingered on the bright screen of his phone for a moment longer before he turned it off and silenced it, setting it on his nightstand.
he rolled over onto his back, his eyes fixed on the dark ceiling above him. the room was cold and silent-- save for the lone rumble of the refrigerator making ice downstairs.
a slight anxious twinge in his chest made him shift uncomfortably and he soon sat up, grabbing his phone.
clicking the home button, the screen lit up bright, stinging suna's eyes which had adjusted to the dark setting of his lightless room.
no new messages from osamu.
