suna and osamu climbed the steps to the local restaurant and were immediatly greeted by a waitress. the place was mostly set outside in the refreshing air, so they requested to sit outside.

sitting down across from eachother at a two-person table, with nothing to look at but eachother, they began searching through their menus, looking for something to eat. soon after they ordered, suna also requesting a sweet limeade drink.

suna rested his hands in his lap, leaning back in his chair and gazing up at the sky.

"so, you're starting a buisness, right?" he asked carefully, casting a questioning stare at osamu.

"that's correct." osamu replied, nodding his head. he rested his elbows on the table, framing his face with his hands. "and you're continuing to play volleyball?"

suna nodded, a little sheepishly.

osamu nervously tapped his foot against the floor. the restaurant wasn't busy, just a few customers here and there, all in their little worlds with conversations both suna and osamu would never know the context of.

"listen...suna," osamu started, leaning forward with an exhale. "sunshine...i dont want things to be tense between us anymore."

at that sentence, suna visibally tensed, frowning deeply. he seemed to be studying the table in front of him and osamu wondered what thoughts were flying around in his head.

osamu was being honest, as honest as he could be. he hoped it wouldn't scare suna away. he had just got him back...and he wasn't prepared to lose him again.

"Suna-"

"i honestly agree with you." suna mumbled, his posture noticebly horrible. "but i dont think things can be like highschool. what happened was a mistake."

osamu felt his chest tighten painfully at suna's words, sharp and harsh to osamu.

observing osamu's state, his dark eyes seeing right through him.

suna hissed, "if you can't accept that, we shouldn't see eachother anymore. especially because i'm... moving away in a few months."

osamu's head shot up, dropping his stoic expression and gasping, "you're moving?" the pain and hurt painfully obvious in his voice.

"yes."

osamu knew he shouldn't, but he felt his world slowly crumbling all around him.
