The dark prince
The first one ever
of that century,
Fit the prophecy
Of When he was born
That will rule the world
No matter how strong you'd come
But the sentence was clear
Hanging in the air
The prince wasn't soft
No one could make him one.
He exhibited a desire,
The desire that cloaked around him tight
Forcing the world on their knees.
The world held their breath
As he came ahead
To claim it as his
He liked the world
As a part of his
Nothing more nothing less
Liked when he needed
Left when he couldn't
Used when it came to it
But the world silently saw
After all he was the prince,
The dark prince nevertheless.
They feared the same thing
But were lost in front of faith
He was brutal
When it came to them
Took all he could
Gave little back
Enjoyed his days
While he had the entire world,
Down on his feet
Dancing on one subtle indication.
The world danced bending over backwards
Eager to please him.
For some attention
That he may serve them with.
Sometimes punishments are overrated
For some people.
The prince was that one exception,
At least to the world.
He took and took and took
And no one intervened.
The world was too eager
To please him.
One day came,
When it was too much to bear
For the dark prince
And he didn't want the world,
Not anymore like he did.
His job done,
He left the throne
But the kingdom was too damaged
For the good prince.
The world wailed
For their misery
But couldn't change
What was left of their destiny.
