Dissapointed Childhood.

I wonder
What our lives have turn out to be
Once a bright soul
Full of inspiration and energy
A free mind
Exploring and experiencing
The stress was there, somewhere
But the spirit was free of lethargy

Then the life gave us a taste
Just a tiny bite
To give us feels
Of what this will be,
To this zealotry
Enough for some to rise
Others to fall back in the trap
The spirit emboldened
By the faith in promise of life.

The cruelty of life wasn't far by
Not fair to those
Who didn't give in
To the nouveau.
The baggage grew heavier
The ideas stuck in head
Forcing you to kowtow
Down infront of the force
But brain presented a cogent argument
For you to fight
Against the delirium

The surrounding thaws
Once we rise against the odds
Trying to keep our heads over the bridge
Once you're submerged deep
Into the water
The struggle to survive
Reminds you of the time
When you were a free mind
Trying anything and everything
But exactly not what you are right then
At that point of time.

Your disappointed childhood
Looks at you in insolence
Trying to come free out of the labyrinth
And lain about the struggles
You forget the felicity of old rhymes
And you realise,
You have no time
Not even to contrite
For what's gone from your life.
