Luke

Luke wasn't sure why he had gone to National Museum of Natural History. He'd just felt like he needed to be there. He was wandering around aimlessly when a group of teenagers ran past him. Some ways behind them were a bunch of skeletons. He looked at the group again and saw a girl with blonde princess curls say something to the black haired boy beside her. Annabeth and Percy. It might not have been them. The chances of Luke running into them at a random location were pretty low. Why were they even away from camp? Whatever the reason, they had a mob of skeletons chasing after them and Luke would do whatever he could to help them.

The skeletons were approaching quickly but Luke drew his sword and stood in front of them. The skeletons paused slightly, as if wondering if the demigod before them was worth killing. Apparently they decided Luke would make a tasty demigod sandwich because they charged at him all at once. Luke stabbed one right through it's rib cage but the monster didn't turn into dust. His eyes widened as he realised what the skeletons before him were. They were Spartoi, warriors which only a child of the Underworld could kill.

Luke fought the skeletal warriors to the best of his ability, knowing he couldn't defeat them but trying to hold them of and buy Percy and Annabeth time to get away. He didn't even care if the two he had seen weren't Percy and Annabeth. He wanted to help them get away. Luke was suddenly knocked to the ground and a Spartoi approached him. At least he would die a heroes death. Luke stared boldly up at the skeleton, daring it to strike him down.

Instead of killing him, the skeleton burst into flames. Luke briefly wondered if he was going to be burned to death before the skeleton crumbled into ash. A sword was where the skeleton had just been. A sword that Luke recognised. Luke looked up, Percy was standing there, Riptide in his hand. The other skeletons looked nervously at Percy before one attacked. Percy slashed the sword across the attackers chest and like the previous one, it burst into flames before turning into a pile of ash. The remaining skeletons backed of, unsure of what to do. Whilst they were distracted Percy grabbed Luke and pulled him with him.

Luke ran with Percy until they came across three other teenagers. Annabeth was amongst them. He recognised the girl with the silver circlet in her hair, Zoë, the lieutenant of Artemis. She had tried to recruit Thalia into the hunt when Luke, Thalia and Annabeth were on the run. Judging from the silver hunting knives and the bow slung across her back, other girl must have been a hunter. Annabeth was gaping at Luke whilst the other two girls stared at him warily.

"Guess who I found" Percy said.

"Luke!" Annabeth threw herself at Luke and wrapped him in a tight hug. She pulled away, blushing, "What are you doing here?"

Jason

The war games on Friday had gone normally. Normally meaning the first and third cohort used the fifth as bait. Octavian had sent the fifth in first to weaken the defence. Jason, being the best fighter in the fifth, had actually managed to take out a good chunk of the defending legionaries. Fortunately they won the game and the fifth didn't suffer too many casualties. Unfortunately Octavian was the one who got the flag and claimed glory for the first. Whilst Octavian was flaunting his victory there was a flash of light and a regal looking man appeared. The cohorts immediately dropped to their knees, recognising the man as Mars, Roman god of war.
