The Assassin of the Mist

"Y/n get on the boat." Kakashi said sternly.

"No." Y/n said turning her head.

"Come on y/n the driver is about to take off!" Naruto whined.

"I'm not a fan of water I prefer my feet on the ground thank you." She said stepping further away.

"Come on or are you chicken." Sasuke taunts.

"Move." She said making her way on the boat while holding onto p/n tightly.

Everyone gets on the boat and soon they set off.
Throughout the time they spent on the mass of water y/n hid her head in between her knees.
"You okay?" Naruto asks.

"Peachy." She said from her knees.
The boats starts rocking roughly against the waves causing y/n to squeak and almost squeeze the life out of p/n. *bark* 'oops.'

" As soon as we reach the bridge we should be arriving to the land of waves." The rower informs.

'This guy must be strong if he has enough power to row a boat with 7 people and a dog.' Y/n thought as they get closer to the shore.

"Tazuna... I want to ask you this before we get dropped off. Why were those men after you? If you don't tell us we'll have to drop you off and end this mission." Kakashi said turning to tazuna.

"I guess I have no other choice but to tell you so listen up. Just as you said earlier this is above a C rank mission. I.. am being targeted by a terrifying shadow." Tazuna admits.

'Gato...I should have took care of him a long time ago. He's damaged to many people not just here.' Y/n thought looking into the distance.

"Terrifying shadow? Who?" Kakashi asks.

"You've probably heard of him or atleast his name before. A shipping magnate by the name of Gato."

"G-gato as in the gato company? One of the most wealthiest men?" Kakashi asks.

"Yes." Tazuna answers. " On The surface he is a chief executive in the shipping business ,but underneath he is no good he is into drug trafficking and deals in contraband using ninjas and gangs. It wasn't more than a year ago that he set his eyes on the land of waves. Before anybody knew it he took control of the whole islands transportation and shipping. Having control of the ocean surrounding this small island means them having control of the government, the people,.... everything. Though the one thing gato fears is the bridge being complete."

"So building the bridge has caused you to become a problem in Gatos way." Sakura starts.
"Then those ninja from earlier they were Gatos men." Sasuke finishes.

"But then why did you lie about this being a C rank mission if anything this would be a b rank mission or higher." Said Kakashi.

"Like he said gato controls the islands finance meaning that they would be poor. They wouldn't be able to buy a higher mission seeing that gato as well controls the government. Their higher officials wouldn't have much money. Believe it or not I actually have visited here before." Y/n replied.

"Yes she is correct. Well if you do leave me ashore they would be sure to slaughter me before I can complete the bridge. But don't worry about me. Though my grandchild who shall turn 8 will be wondering why his grandfather hasn't returned. Oh and my daughter will probably weep the rest of her life hatred in her heart for konoha's ninja." Tazuna said guilt tripping them.

"Oh well I guess we have no choice but to continue as bodyguards." Kakashi said feeling guilty.

"Oh I am most grateful! I won." Tazuna whispers as y/n fist bumps him when the team isn't looking.
