Y/n layed sprawled out in the shade since the the sun was blazing down on them.
"It's so hot." Y/n breathed. P/n howled in agreement.
"Where have you been p/n?" Y/n asked. P/n nodded towards Akamaru.
"Oh.."
Y/n went back to dying in the heat when she heard Naruto mocking Anko.

"The forest of death is so dangerous and you'll find out why! Do your worst I can handle anything!" He mocks.

'That little idiot is going to get himself in trouble.'

"Is that so.. looks like we have ourselves a tough guy." Anko whips a kunai and throws it at Naruto grazing his cheek. Anko then appeared behind him in a split second.
"You think you can handle this? Your not afraid are you?" Anko whispers.

Y/n takes out a kunai and flicks it at Anko grazing her other cheek as she did yesterday.
Anko turns to her menacingly.

"You shouldn't mess with my teammates even if I'm not on the team at the moment doesn't mean I don't have their backs." Y/n said.
Before Anko could reply back to her and they whip out their kunai's simultaneously. A lady with a abnormally long tongue appeared behind them holding a kunai with her tongue.

'Sick...'

"I was just returning your knife." The woman said.

"Why thank you grass ninja ,but I'd refrain from coming close to me like that or you'll receive an early death." Anko grins. The grass ninja grins her eyes wander over to Y/n's form in interest.

"Pardon me but with the sight of blood and your knife slicing through my hair I got a little excited. I meant you no harm." The grass ninja turns away and walks off.

'It seems that people here are short tempered must take note of that.'

"Ok now before we begin I have some standard consent forms for all of you to sign. Read over it carefully then sign so we may begin." Anko said.

"Consent forms? For what?" Naruto asked.

"Some of you may not come back from this test so I need consent to that risk. Otherwise it would be my responsibility haha" Anko chuckles.

'So some of us may die...'

Anko hands out consent forms.
"I'll explain what these exams are about. This test will test all of your survival skills. First I'll give you all a description of the terrain on the practice field. The 44th training field has 44 lock entrance gates there are rivers and a forest inside. In the center is a locked tower kilometers from each gate. The test consists of... anything goes battle to get your hands on these scrolls." Anko holds up a black and white scroll.

"These are heaven and earth scrolls. Each team and in l/n's case will get one scroll. Half of the 26 teams will have a heaven scroll while the other half has an earth scroll. There will be a 5 day time limit during those times you and your team must survive and acquire the other scroll which means you will have to fight for it. To pass the test your entire squad must have both scrolls and bring them to the tower. I'm gonna be honest half of y'all are going to either fail or not make it through this test." Anko said.

'This may be a problem I'm a one man squad which includes p/n. The other teams will most likely target me since I'm by myself. I'll have to be extra cautious or I might die.'

"Enemies will be around every corner so there won't be any time to rest. I'm sure some of you won't be up to the challenge." Anko said.

"I have a question. In the middle of the exams can we quit?" Shikamaru asks.

'What type of question is that?'

"Of course not in a real battle you can't just quit. I guess you can but it'll probably get you killed." Anko grins.

"Oh that's great this is going to be a drag...'

"There are ways you can get disqualified such as if all three team members can't make it to the tower with both scrolls in the 5 day time limit the whole team will be disqualified. Another is if a team loses a member or a member become incapacitated and can't go on ,but most important is if any of you dare to open the scrolls before gathering the other and reaching the tower you'll immediately lose accident or not you may not read any of its contents until you reach the tower. You don't want to know what happens if you do. The scroll rule is to test your integrity as a ninja. Okay we're done now head over there for your scrolls after that each team will pick a gate to start from. Oh and another word of advice... just don't die!" Anko said.

'How motivational.'

Y/n sat under a tree with p/n in her lap reading over the consent forms.
'Everyone around me will be my enemy in these exams I must keep an eye out. I have no one to watch my back besides maybe the rest of team 7. Hopefully this test will be a breeze' Y/n sighs and went to get her scroll. She exchanged her form in return she was given an earth scroll.

'I have an earth scroll which means I need a heaven scroll to pass ,but who among the rest has a heaven?'

Walking back to her gate along with p/n she bumped into someone..
"My apologies- Garra." She stops mid sentence and greets him.

"Congrats on passing the first part of the exams." She smiles.

"Yes..congratulations to you as well. I wish you luck in the next part of the exams.. I hear they're going to be dangerous." He replied.

"Thank you I will. I'll see you later!"
Y/n waves then heads to her gate.

"Alright everyone head to your gate!" The rest of the candidates headed to their gates.

Y/n closed her eyes to calm her nerves.
'Why do I feel so nervous. I've been through worst things ,but I have a bad feeling about this part of  the exams.'
She was snapped out of her thoughts from the distance shouts of Naruto.

"Good luck y/n!"

She smiles in return.
'Good luck to the rest of you as well. Please make it through the exams safely.'

"Alright maggots the second part of the exams has begun!" Anko shouts. All gates were immediately opened. Y/n dashed inside with p/n close behind.

After a while they stopped on a tree.
"This brings me back to the good old days when I hunted shinobi down."

"Ah yes I remember those days as well."

"Yeah because you love the sight of blood splatter." Y/n replied quietly. P/n tilted her head in confusion.

"It brings me great joy."

"Yes, yes now quiet."

"Fine then."

"We have to think of a battle strategy. Since I don't know much about these candidates I can't rely much on just fighting it out. We'll just have to observe for the time being." P/n yips in agreement. The sound of bushes rustling then grabbed their attention as rabbit popped out of a bush.

Y/n sighs.
'It's just a wild rabbit.'
She knelt down for further inspection. There was a tag of paper attached to the rabbit. Y/n then quickly realized what it was.

"A paper bomb!"
She threw it but was too late the paper bomb exploded into nearby trees which then came crashing down on her.

Dust clouded her vision making it difficult for her to see.
"P/n!" Y/n calls out. A faint yip could be heard. Y/n avoided as many trees as she could.

'It seems as if they're already after me.'

When the falling of trees ceased so did y/n.
It was silent.
"P/n!" Y/n shouted for pet.

It was silent then the sudden yip of a dog was heard.
'That's got to be her!'
She ran towards the sound of yips.
In the distance she found p/n wagging her tail.
"P/n!" If only she had know that was not her dog.
