"Warrior"

Constantly beaten.
Facts are barred and so as I.
Accepting whatever thrown at me,
Swallowed words without being chewed.

I am forbidden to spit a phrase or two.
All I can do is shut my eyes and make a painful blow.
If only I can keep my sanity inside my purse,
Only then maybe you'll see the grief inside my soul.

Who do you think you are to speak about my house.
You only saw what you want to see.
Have you been to my room where I take my rest?
Do you know how hungry I am to take a nap?

Do you know how it felt to smile when you are already exhausted?
Do you know what it felt to care for others but not for yourself?
Have you tried crying without tears?
Have you tried saving others while you bleed?

Who do you think you are to speak about the road you have not been through?
What were you thinking when you talk about the roughness of the wood I've been constantly trying to polish with my bare hands.

You have the guts to speak about my torn shoes.
But you didn't have the courage to tell them how I endured the pain.
I am a warrior who fought battles you didn't see.
Yet you speak as if you were with me.
