The Purpose Of Change

Walking in the hallway of Clover University with my friends. Talking about the things we've done last weekend. Didn't mind the stares of the students because of our loud voices. We enjoy each others company as always.

"I think we need to plan for a trip. What do you think?" Bella ask before we reach the end of the hallway.

" That's a good idea." Crish answer excitingly

"Okay gals! End of the semester is approaching. So, we can go a week after. Call?"

"CALL!" they answered unison

We said goodbyes to each other. I took my leave first because I will review for my last subject this afternoon. We are all excited for the semester ends but then let's say hello to hell week first.

Today is the first day of our final examination for our first semester, and two days more.

"Ash, here's the reviewer for tomorrow's exam." he held his notes to me

"Thanks Harv."

We seat on our chairs and start opening our notes to review. I look at him and smile, he notice and he smiled back. Still our thing!

Today's examination ended and I'm so stress thinking about the result. I don't know but I think I'm screwed, my math exam is so hard and I also forgot to answer one problem that was 15 points.

Cheer up Ash! You can pass it, you're smart. Remember that.

"Ashley!"

Someone is calling me. I face the direction wherein the sound is coming from and;

"Hi Vince!" I smile wholeheartedly

"Want to have some dinner together?" he ask with a big smile on his face

Omg! Vince Oliver Cruz is asking me to have dinner with him. This is the first time, I got to tell Harvey about this. Maybe, we can put labels soon. And wait, speaking of Harvey? We'll go home together. Where is he?

"Ash let's go?" he suddenly appeared

"Harv? Vince ask me out for dinner. Is it okay if you go home alone?"

His forehead wrinkled upon hearing my words. He look at the man beside me and then back at me. He's talking to me through our eyes.

"Okay but I'll join you!" after he immediately walk out

"I hope it's okay, the three of us to eat dinner together?" I worriedly ask Vince

" Of course! " he said while giving me half smile

We walked side by side silently. My eyes are in search for Harvey, where the hell is this guy? He said he'll join us but now he's missing.

Upon reaching the gate, a clear vision of the guy I'm searching around appears. He's not in the mood, he's always like that when Vince is around. Maybe for a reason that his girlfriend have a crush with this guy and so his bestfriend.

Dinner went well. We ate at the nearest restaurant in Uni. Vince is one of the University Prince, he is a Volleyball Player and he's taking up Engineering. I guess, it also turned out not so well. Harvey seldom talk but when he did, you'll hate it. That's why you better not talk to him if he's not on the mood.

We went home after dinner. We thank Vince and bids our goodbye. Our place was just walking distance from our school, so we're walking every day. We walk silently, no one dares to talk until I can't take it anymore. It feels like my saliva will dry if I don't talk.

"What's wrong with you? Are you brokenhearted? I never heard you talking to Fiona recently. Did you broke up?" I keep on asking him without knowing if he's listening or not

Oh! I don't know what's happening to his life even I'm his bestfriend.

"We're still together." he replied simply

"So, what's with that look? It looks like your in deep thoughts and that made you beastmode"

"It's just about that guy or should I say your Vince flirting with you, asking you out for dinner but then with no label!" he answered angrily.

"Wow! Relaxed Harv. We're just taking things slow. We'll be there soon. Don't worry, okay?" I smiled to reassure him that it's okay.

"Sorry Ash. I just don't want to see you hurt again. Your brother will surely kill me this time."

"I know you don't want to get killed hehe!" I said laughing

I saw the change of his face from worried to calm. I'm thankful for having this guy beside me. My childhood friend will always be my super bestfriend.

We stop upon reaching the gate of my house. I look at him and said thank you. We waved at each other, I come inside and he cross over to reach their house. Our house is facing each other actually. That's why we bond a lot and becomes the best of friends.

Another day ended two more days of hell. Ashley Craig you can do this!
