Her brothers' obnoxious laughter continued to echo throughout their hotel room as Cordelia nervously paced.

How could she have let this happen? How could she have been so stupid and grabbed the wrong luggage while not checking if it was hers? She had a feeling Charlie would probably be laughing with tears in his eyes.

"I'm delighted you find my problem amusing." Cordelia scowled as she waited for the stranger's message that he had arrived in the lobby.

"I'm sorry, Skeeter." Chris said, sitting up. "It's just you're one of the smartest people I know yet──"

"──Yet you've managed to do one of the dumbest things ever!" Scott completed and, with this, they erupted again into a fit of laughter.

She groaned. "Ugh! I swear if it weren't for your last minute change of plans I wouldn't be in this mess!"

She felt her phone vibrate in her hand and saw that it was a text from the person who had held her luggage.

TEXT FROM: UNKNOWN NUMBER

Here at the lobby. By their coffee shop.

The coffee shop? It was practically deserted there. But, nevertheless, Cordelia was desperate to get her luggage back and abundantly apologize to the stranger for the mix-up. She just hoped it wasn't a snobby up and coming movie star or singer.

"But, Skeeter," Scott piped up as his older sister was heading out the door. "What if the person is a serial killer? Or a stalker? Or someone who'd want to kidnap you?"

Cordelia scoffed, knowing he was probably watching too much cop shows and crime documentaries. "I'll be fine."

"Skeeter, please don't die." Chris added, "if you die, then Mom's going to kill us."

Laughing, Cordelia made her way out of the hotel room with the black luggage in tow. While inside the elevator, she checked the bag's luggage tag so she could at least put a name to the phone number. To her surprise, it was blank.

The lobby of the Haven Hotel was quiet and bled gold in their walls. It made sense that Chris would pick such an underrated hotel since he liked his privacy. The hotel was known for their top security and didn't have a lot of paparazzi lurking around.

Cordelia's blue eyes scanned the room until it landed on a tall figure standing by the coffee shop. Beside him was a black Kipling rolling luggage exactly identical to hers. From what she could tell, the man had a tall yet muscular build with dark medium length hair that went a little beyond his shoulders. His beard looked like it could compete with Chris'.

She walked right behind him and cleared her throat. "Uh, excuse me."

The man turned around and Cordelia widened her eyes just a little. She had seen this man before. Maybe he was in one of the movies that Chris and Scott had watched a lot when they were younger. When his kind brown eyes met hers, realization slapped Cordelia in the face.
