(5) the pool

AN: ay Nick is finally here and we are already flirting whoop whoop. alright enjoy chapter 5!

Y/N  POV: 

The meeting went by really quickly and it was mostly just Thomas wanting me to feel comfortable with everyone as well as going over the expectations of tik toks and stuff with the rest of the group. 

After the meeting, it was already about 8:30 pm. Ryland, Nick and I went back up to our room and just chilled. 

"Hey, y/n, it's still pretty warm outside, do you want to go for a swim?" Nick asked me.

"I'm pretty tired, but yah! Just for a bit." I replied. I looked over at Ryland to ask if he wanted to join but he was already passed out. "Let me just get Ryland into some better clothes for sleep first. He wore the last night too." I told Nick. 

I grabbed a sweatshirt, boxers and sweat-shorts for Ryland and I gently shook him awake. 

"Hey, Ry. Go to the bathroom and get changed into these. Then come back, it's time for bed for you." I said, giving him a small kiss on his forehead. 

Ryland took the clothes and stumbled into the bathroom. While he was in the bathroom, I went in to the closet and changed into my favorite, black bikini.  

I walked out and noticed that while I was in there, Nick had already changed into a pair of light pink swim trunks. He had a pretty nice body with abs. I sat on the edge of my bed, on my phone, waiting for Ryland to come out so I could say goodnight. 

I looked up and I caught Nick staring at me. I giggled and he looked away quickly, blushing. "Like what you see?" I laughed.

"Shut the fuck up." Nick said, groaning and falling back on his bed. Ryland walked out of the bathroom and fell onto the bed right next to me. I tucked him under the covers and scratched his head, lightly. 

"Mmm." Ryland groaned. 

I laughed. "Night, Ry." Nick stood and we grabbed some towels and went to the pool.

Charli and Chase were already in there just floating around the talking. We set our towels down.

"Hey, guys." Nick said. Charli and Chase smiled back. 

"Where's Ryland, y/n?" Chase asked. 

"Oh, he fell asleep. We were up really late last night and most of the week so he's tired." I said, sitting on the edge of the pool so that my feet were in the water. That didn't last very long before I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and pick me up bridal-style. 

I looked up and saw Nick's adorable face. "Hi, cutie." I whispered so only he would hear. 

Nick blushed. "Hey gorgeous." Then he threw me into the freezing cold pool. 

Charli and I both screamed. "Nick!!" 

"You're so dead." I giggled, running out of the pool. I pushed Nick into the water and jumped in after him. 

"I guess I deserved that." He said, smiling at me with his adorable smile that made the butterflies in my stomach multiply.  

"Yeah, you did." I replied, laughing. We looked around and Charli and Chase were on the pool deck. 

"We're gonna head up." Charli said, smiling at us. She linked arms with Chase who kissed her on the cheek. 

"Have fun you two." Chase called as they left the area. It was just Nick and I now. I looked at the house and a lot of the lights were off. I wasn't surprised that Kouvr and Alex's light was still on though. Ryland always told that the two of them were notorious for pulling continuous all-nighters. I could never. 

I then felt Nick swim in between my legs and lift me up on his shoulders. "What are you doing?" I giggled looking down at him.

"This." He replied, flipping me off of his shoulders. When I surfaced , I wiped all my hair out of my face. I looked around but I couldn't see Nick. Suddenly he surfaced right in front of me. Our faces were so close together again. 

"Hey, there." Nick said. 

"H-hi again." I breathed. "How do we always get ourselves into this situation?" 

"I don't know," he smirked. "But you were the one who was in the way of my swimming, so..." He started to lean in a bit and I ducked my head under the water and swam to the stairs.

I surfaced again just in time to see the cute boy looking around in confusion. I waved at him and smiled. He rolled his eyes and I started to take the stairs out of the pool. 

I wrapped a towel around my shoulders as Nick came up and grabbed his towel. He wrapped his arm around me as we stood, looking out at the edge of the pool. Then he pushed me in, towel and all. 

"NICK!" I screamed. He just died of laughter. "So help me, I'm going to kill you!" 

I climbed out of the pool again and pouted. "Nick, how the hell am I going to dry off? I'm going to get water all over the house."

"Well you're right, Thomas would be pissed and we wouldn't want that." He smirked. He then picked me up, bridal style and carried me up to our room where Ryland was still sleeping. 

"You're so pretty, y/n, you know that?" He asked, as we put me down on the carpet. 

I smiled. "And you're quite the flirt, aren't you, Nick?" I poked his nose. 

"Y/n, Nick. What the hell are you guys doing?" An over-tired Ryland, questioned.

"Nothing, Ry. Go back to sleep." I said, still looking into Nick's brown eyes. 

I then grabbed an oversized hoodie and some nike pros and walked into the bathroom to change. I thought about what had happened with Nick while we were at the pool and what had happened this whole day. This has been such a hectic day. I thought about what Nick had said. 

He said I was pretty. I thought to myself. He called me gorgeous in front of Chase and Charli at the pool 

As I thought about these things, I wondered if Nick actually liked me. 

Was he like this with the other girls too?

Was he just being nice?

Does he even like me at all? 

I have to talk to Ryland. Just the thought of Nick was making me blush. But I had literally known him for less than a day. I would feel pretty stupid for developing feelings for someone so quick. 

I walked out of the bathroom and the lights were off. Nick was laying in his bed, scrolling through tik tok. 

"Hey, y/n." Nick said. 

"Hm?" I replied.

"You aren't half bad at making tik toks. We should make some tomorrow." He smiled, showing me his phone and that he was on my page. 

"Haha okay, Nicky." I said, teasing him and I got into bed with Ryland.  

"Nicky?" Nick asked from the other side of the room. 

"Yep!" I responded, giggling a little bit. Even his voice made me dizzy. 

"Okay, sounds good." Nick said. "Goodnight, y/n" 

"Goodnight, Nicky."
