It was college first year. A new journey that we are yet to explore. A new bunch of experiences to be added with the story entitled 'Life.'
'I am Isabella Forbes. It's nice to meet you'll.' I greeted everyone. My sister welcomed me to her group. New faces drawn closer to me, welcoming my presence with their bright smiles. Few months will pass by and I know that I will know most of them and contribute parts about me which they will figure out.
Every morning I used to sit with my seniors along with my sister and they showed me some important faces around with detailed information of interesting stories they wanted me to know. It was great bonding with them and I felt like I was quickly sliding inside their everyday life. We shared laughter, food and tales. It's always a privilege having a sibling. I was very excited to join college. I wanted to make new friends, lots of friends and I definitely wanted to rephrase myself as an extrovert, talented, strong and beautiful lady.
I re-bonded with my two new friends whom I knew earlier. Valerie Pete and Jamie Fox. The former became my travel buddy and the latter being my darling sweetheart. With them I experienced attending interesting and boring lectures together, enjoying while professors were late for classes, sometimes even missing out classes and not to mention successful and efficient group studies. They made sure I studied for every exams. They are my standing pillars and I am glad I met them. I love you both. You know it.
The first few weeks of college was blissful. Everyday was filled with new adventures. I had met a lot of people. I even met few familiar faces from school. We interacted and kept in touch during breaks.
Few days before joining college I had spoken to a random boy online and supposedly he joined the same college. He was my first friend in college. We finally decided to meet in the cafeteria. It was crowded. I studied his face as he was a complete stranger to me. I didn't want to bump into someone and make it a awkward moment for them. I was an extrovert which adds bonus points to my enthusiastic nature. I wasn't satisfied with just knowing a face, I always wanted to know more.
Walking down the cafeteria during recess definitely seemed like a huge mistake. It's a big NO if you hate crowded places with voices screaming and talking. You can easily be thrown away from one end to another with people constantly moving in and out. Hardly one could find a spot empty to eat peacefully.
Amongst the chattering sounds of people, loud voices around me I heard someone talk over the phone saying 'Hello!....yes, I am Thomas Rhett....' and the voice faded quickly. I looked at him for two seconds without a blink after which he was lost with the other strangers around.
Instantly, I got a phone call and headed outside to meet him.
'Johnson Alcott, I presume', I asked.
'Yes, Isabella Forbes', he responded.
We both assured we were meeting the right people. We instantly spoke. There was zero hesitation, no uncomfortable gestures and it felt like I levelled up in having a guy friend in college.Kudos to him, I was marked late for my first seminar. It mattered since I was waiting for one whole year to meet the only male professor of our department. Added on, he is the charm of our college, an amazing personality, very focussed and grounded. Words can't comprehend the feeling I felt while I saw him as I was eagerly waiting to meet him. I wasn't really crushing on my professor but sometimes you know, you can't resist a positive aura.
College couldn't be boring when you have so many reasons to be there. I was awaiting to explore. To explore as much as I could. To leave all pages unturned with no regrets in life.
Hello, welcome to my world. I am Isabella Forbes.
