Chapter 9

*LIAM'S P.O.V.*

We were all ready, and I had to round everyone up since I was the only responsible adult around. We all got in the taxi and I gave him the directions. When we got to the carnival we all went our separate ways. Me and Toni were left with each other, which I was happy about.

We walked towards the ferris wheel, but Toni obviously didn't notice until we got to the front of the line.

"W-we're riding the ferris wheel?" she studdered.

"Yeah, is that okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, that's fine. I'm just a little scared of heights." she told me.

"We don't have to ride it if you don't want too." I said

"No, no. It's fine."

We got on and went in a circle for a while. Finally we stopped at the very top. Perfect.

She squealed and I couldn't help but laugh.

"You're such a girl." I said, still laughing.

She blushed. "Shut up. You're a girl!"

I laughed. Well if that's so, this is going to be very awkward." She looked at me confused. I cupped her face, and lightly pressed my lips to hers. She was shocked at first, but kissed back.

We pulled apart and she smiled at me. "What about that girl you like?" she asked confused.

"It was you the whole time." She smiled and tightly hugged me. I hugged back. "Now there's just one question."

"What's that?" She asked when she released me.

"Do you like me?" I asked cautiously.

"Of course I do." She said with a smile. I felt a huge grin creep across my face. I leaned in and kissed her again.

We pulled apart, and right on Que the wheel started moving again. We got off and started walking. I grabbed her hand and intertwined our fingers together. She looked up and smiled.

"Would you like to go find a place to eat?" I asked her.

"Yeah." She said still smiling.

When we finally found somewhere worth eating at, we ordered corn dogs and sat at one of the tables.

"Thank you. Again. For everything." she said smiling half heartedly.

"Just consider it an early birthday present." I said with a wink. Kara and Carter told me her birthday was next week.

" How do you know my birthday?" She asked confused.

"Kara and Carter told me." I told her.

"I didn't want you to find out." She said.

I laughed. "Did you think you could hide it from us forever?"

"No, I just thought I could keep it a secret until I died." She laughed. "You guys have already done so much for me. I didn't want you to think you had to get me anything."

"You deserve it, Toni." I told her. "After all you've been through, you deserve to be treated like this for the rest of your life. Plus, I really like seeing you smile."

She blushed. "I don't deserve this much."

"Yes, you do." I said. "You deserve more than this." (A/N see what I did there? (;)

She was about to respond when Niall walked up to us.

"Mate, can I talk to you for a moment?" He asked me.
