Chapter 25

*Toni's P.O.V.*

"Toni! Toni! Wake up!" I heard Liam yelling.

My eyes shot open and I sat straight up. It was just a dream Toni. I thought to myself. Liam pulled me into his chest and kissed my head.

"What were you dreaming about?" Liam asked after a long silence.

"I was really sick and I was throwing up for over three weeks. You took to the hospital and they told me I had cancer." I whispered. I started crying from the thought.

"It's okay, love." Liam said into my ear.

"Liam?"

"Yes?"

"I only have dreams like that when something is wrong..." I said in a shaky voice. "Will you take me to the doctor so we can make sure it was just a dream?"

"Yes, of course" He said and we got dress and before I knew it we were on our way to the doctors office.

Liam and I were sitting in a room waiting for the results. We were making small talk until the doctor came in.

"Toni, I have bad news and good news." He said.

"Start with the bad news." I said nervous as ever.

"Well the bad news is, you do in fact have cancer. The good news is, we caught it just in time. You just need one treatment and it will be gone for good. You won't have anything to worry about." He told me.

I was in total shock, but I was so happy it would soon be gone.

"But in the process, we have to do a very minor brain surgery, and you're going to have to shave your head." He told me.

My heart sank. Liam isn't going to want to be with someone who has no hair.

Wow, Toni. You're fighting cancer and all you're worried about is Liam leaving you, I thought to myself.

"Okay." I said in a quiet voice.

"Thank you, sir" Liam said.

"You're welcome. Shave your head tonight, and we can do the surgery in the morning. I'll write you down for 10:00am, okay?" He said.

I couldn't find words so I just nodded my head.

Liam and I walked out of the building and I started crying.

"It's going to be okay, Love." He said pulling me into a hug.

"You're not going to want to be with a bald girl, Liam. It's not going to be okay." I told him.

He pulled away and looked at me with hurt in his eyes.

"Toni Vanessa Rossman. Why would you ever think that? I love you for you, not for your appearance. I love the girl who funny, sweet, smart, crazy, and down to earth. I live the girl who would drop whatever she's doing, no matter how important it is, to help everyone else. The fact that you're absolutely beautiful is just a bonus. You could be the most hideous creature on the planet and that wouldn't change how much I love you. No matter what obstacles you have to face, I'm going to be right there with you helping you through them. And your hair will grow back. You're going to look just as beautiful without as you did with it." He told me.

How did I get so lucky to have such an amazing boyfriend?

"I love you, Liam." I said, snuggling my face into his chest.

He wrapped me tightly in his arms. "I love you too, Toni. Forever and always."

We pulled apart and he intertwined our fingers and led me to the car.

*Liam's P.O.V.*

I had just finished shaving Toni's head. I was right. She looked just as beautiful as before.

I leaned down and kissed her. Wow. I really love this girl.

"You still look just as beautiful." I whispered in her ear after our lips parted.

"Thank you, Liam. You mean everything to me. I am everything I am because you love me." She said.

I kissed her once again. This kiss was longer though, and more passionate. I picked her up bridal style and carried her to bed. We both fell asleep fast.

I asked Liam, Harry, Kara, and Carter to be the only ones at the hospital when I went into surgery. The five of us were waiting for the doctor to come get me in the waiting room. I was nervous as Hell. Liam noticed how nervous I was and grabbed my hand and kissed it.

"It's going to be okay." He said.

Just then the doctor came in and smiled at me.

"We're ready for you, Ms. Rossman."
