We found each other. So why do I feel so alone? Yoongi thought as he gazed out his window, his eyes searching again. He thinks to himself, I must see her today or I will surely perish. My meager self only exists to find you. I will go up to her door and knock. I'm just a concerned neighbor. I haven't even seen the cute pup she loves so much.
I can't stop thinking of the flash from the past. I can't stop thinking of the kiss we shared. Something about it felt so real. I keep searching for those memories. I don't know anything about you really, but I can't help wondering what you are up to.
I cling to the memory of your face. I feel like I've loved you since the beginning of time. Obsessed with the merest flutter of your ebony lashes. My fingertips long to touch you. The memory of your skin embedded in my DNA. But the memory of our past escapes me, sinking me deeper into desperation, clinging desperately to the moments of clarity when the power of our past has been revealed to me.

Molly and I were bored. Jaden had finally gone to workout with his friends and I had stayed home to give him some space. We had binged on Netflix so I couldn't bring herself to turn on the tv again. The house was messy but cleaning was the last thing I wanted to do.
At least it's Saturday. I'll clean and do the laundry tomorrow. Jaden will help me. He'll go with me to the laundromat. It's cute that he doesn't want to leave my side. Ever since I was attacked, he wants to be there for me, but if I'm honest, it's driving me crazy.
I needed something different. My stomach grumbled in protest, a reminder that I was alive and not just a ghost wandering in the tedium of an endless life.
I had spent the whole day inside and couldn't wait to escape the walls of my apartment. As much as I had wanted Jaden to be around, I longed to see the weird boy that caused my pulse to soar.
Soon I would get my chance as fate put him in my path again.
"Ding, ding," the doorbell rang.
The second I opened the door, Molly ran out barking at the pizza delivery guy. The pup soon took off ignoring the yummy pizza smells for something better. Perhaps the freedom that I also longed for.
I put down the pizza and ran after him. I giggled at the pure joy the little dog exuded running at full speed towards none other than Yoongi. I ran towards them, the cool afternoon breeze blowing through my hair and a fluttery feeling in my gut making my senses keener. It felt great to be outside. I watched as Yoongi leaned down and grabbed the rambunctious little dog that continued to wiggle in his arms trying desperately to lick his pale face.
I caught up to them pausing to catch my breath. "Thank you, Yoongi. He ran out when I was getting my pizza."
"Pizza!" Yoongi's eyes lit up. "I love pizza," he said.
I welcomed the chance to invite him so I said, "Would you like some?"
"Sure, I'd love to-it," Yoongi fumbled his words his eyes darting to mine.
I couldn't help smiling at his slightly flushed cheeks and his worried eyes. I wondered where the confident Yoongi that used to tease me had gone. Was he less sure that I liked him?
He promptly handed Molly over to me, our hands brushing accidentally. Yoongi reached out and grabbed my arm, our eyes locked, full of alarm as a sudden jolt went through us.
Author's note: What could Yoongi have seen or felt? Is he really a dark creature, a fallen angel, or maybe a lost soul.
