NARRATIVE

She couldn't stop herself.  Yoongi was like a drug and she was hooked.  He was everything she ever wanted, an adoring lover that always made space for her thoughts and wants. She was exhausted but exhilarated at the same time.  Taking naps with him during the day had become part of their routine if you could call anything they did routine.  Yoongi had made space in his life for her. His closet held clothes that he had bought for her and sexy things that she would wear for him when they made love. He gave so much of himself like he had been starving for love and she was food for his soul.

She made him feel alive again, where everything was new and possible.  They would go out at night dancing and drinking indulging in all the city had to offer. They would walk the dark streets of Seoul without fear.  He would tell her fantastic stories of his adventures and travels.  She didn't believe them, thinking he was too young to have had so many experiences.

He seemed so innocent and sweet sometimes and all those stories of his past were just born of his imagination like the wings she had seen were just part of hers.  In those times when he was unguarded and vulnerable, she knew the real boy behind the armor and lies he used to build himself up.  If only he could realize it was that innocent, sweet boy that held her heart in his palm.    The boy that played the piano for her looking into her eyes for approval and love.  They would caress each other's skin as they spoke softly about their future together, their dreams for a family full of love and closeness.

But not everything was good, he would get angry at times because she would leave him to go back to Jaden. She wouldn't tell Yoongi why she wouldn't leave Jaden. Why she was so afraid to leave a man she obviously didn't love. She was living a double life one that would have to stop at some point. He would beg her not to go back to him, but she always did, as if he was some dirty little secret and it tore him apart.

Her studies were suffering but she didn't seem to care.  When Jaden thought she was at school, she was really napping in her lover's arms.  When she did go to class she drank strong coffee that Yoongi would prepare for her along with his lovely waffles.  Despite these culinary indulgences they were lean, both of them had lost weight.  Her friend Mia had noticed, but Jina had decided early on not to tell her about her life with Yoongi. She couldn't lose the only friend she felt really close to.  They would walk to class together. Mia chatting happily about her daily life and the new boy that had caught her eye.  Jina would smile and laugh but never share her inner demons with her best friend.

Mia would ask about Jaden and once asked if she had seen her strange neighbor again. Jina denied seeing him with a little shake of her head as if she was ashamed. Mia thought her once talkative friend was holding something back and she made up her mind to talk to Jaden about it.  Mia knew something was wrong.

Yoongi was not well either.  He would lay staring up at his ceiling wondering what was missing, why he was not good enough for her to leave Jaden.  Yoongi would hide his tears from her as she washed herself clean of him before going back to her apartment and her other life with him.  By the time she left, he would sink into the darkness that lurked in the shadows of his soul.  Yoongi fantasized about killing Jaden with his bare hands.  His body shook with the hatred that was building up and the voices would return bringing him to the edge of madness.
