"Thanks for Doing my shift again Michael. I owe you!", Melissa said. She was my friend and her boyfriend and she would go to Paris for christmas. So i told her i could so her shift.
She hugged me again and left the store.

Until 7:30 pm, it was pretty chill, but then more people arrived. At this point, Christine, who owned the shop, arrived to help out. "Mickey! How are you? Since when are you working here?", someone suddenly asked. "Brooke! It's so cool to see you again! Not at all, actually, just replacing my friend here. And I'm just tired at this point", I laughed. "Oh well, i can imagine, after working since 6am! Must be exhausting! However could you make me an iced latte?", she replied. "Sure thing! 3,50$ please", I said. "The rest is for you", she said, handing me 5$.

At was nearly 9am, which meant end of my shift, when someone entered the shop. "Is that..?", I whispered at christine. "The one and only", she whispered back.
Jeremy Heere stopped in the doorway, looking exactly the way I felt.
After the whole Squip thing we slowly drifted apart, until we completely lost touch after high school. I didn't think, that I would see him again. "Micha?", he asked, as he came closer. I didn't answer, just staring at him, until christine boxed me in the arm and whispered, that only I could hear: "you can stop drooling now." I blinked, sorted my thoughts and replied with an awkward "I think so?", blushing deeply. Christine next to me sank to the floor, burying her face in her hands. But Jeremy just looked at me, muttering "it's you, it's actually you." "Yeah, it is", I said, looking down his body. He got taller. His hair was longer and all I wanted to do was to go and hug him. But my rational part hid these feelings, so I only asked: "what can I get you?" Jeremy didn't reply. He just kept mumbling to himself, until Christine stood up. "Dude, you two need to sort things out. I'm gonna get you something. Now move your asses, there are people who want to order something else than the cashier", she said and pushed me away.

Jeremy and me both blushed, but I listened to her and sat down at a spot on the window with him. "Listen, I'm sorry, Micha. I know I was an ass during that whole squip thing. But after that... you just kept distance from me and i get that you were hurt but i tried to apologize", he stuttered out. "You only had eyes for her. It was always christine. And that hurt. Not because I don't like her, it's just because- I was always there and you still preferred her over me", I explained, "and I get that you're straight or something but I'm... not."
"You were jealous of christine?" "Jokes on me, huh?", I joked, tears threatened to leave my eyes. "Neither am I, though", Jeremy said. I looked up again. "I thought, if i tried hard enough, these feelings would leave. I was scared, what people would say, what you would say. Especially, if you would ask me, how I knew, that I was also attracted to boys. Can't say because I started to cry, thinking about how you could date someone else, can I? Or how I imagined, you would sleep next to me in our appartment, cuddling me, until I was asleep. Or how I would daydream about you being my boyfriend all the time. Or-", he started to cry out silently. "Is that how you felt?", I whispered. "No. It's how I feel, Michael. I miss you, so much. I miss playing video games with you all day long, buying drinks for 10$ just because it's retro, driving to 7/11 for lunch to get you a slushie, getting stoned in your basement together, staying at home while everyone else is out partying, your hugs when I'm feeling like there is no way out, how you calmed me down, when there are thunderstorms, just you", he replied, wiping a tear away. For a second I was shooked, before I just let myself sink in his arms. "I missed you, too", I said into his shirt.
"Mahal kito, micha" I looked up at him again, smiling softly. "I love you too, jere", I said, "I love you too"
