Chapter 10

I found out that his dealers name is Sarah.. and he was buying xans. We talked about it the car ride home. My head was swirling and I felt horrible. Kaden said he started doing xans in the 8th grade, the same time my mom left me again.. I can't believe I didn't notice, we were best friends since kindergarten and I didn't notice..

We finally arrived to my house and we just sat in silence for a few minutes not knowing what to say.

"I don't want any secrets between us anymore.." I grabbed his hand into my own.

"Okay Ved, from this moment on no more secrets" He gave my hand a small squeeze.

I hugged him and got out of the car and walked into my house.

That took such an unexpected turn.. 

OH MY GOD. I have school tomorrow I'm such an idiot.

I hurried and showered and got into bed and fell fast asleep.

I woke up the next morning to not my alarm going off but Kris jumping on me.

"ALRIGHTTTTTTT let's go let's go!!!" She says with each bounce.

"I'm up I'm up, Jesus you sure know how to wake people up" I jumped out of bed laughing.

"Here take these, it'll help with the headache" She handed me 2 aspirin.

I took them quickly knowing I have class in an hour.

I changed into black ripped jeans, a maroon crop top, my vans, and straightened my hair.

I put on some mascara and a light layer of eyeshadow to cover the horrendous hangover bags under my eyes.

I walked down the stairs to see Kaden sitting at my kitchen island talking to Krista.

"And there's sleeping beauty herself!" Kris exclaimed while walking over to be with a cup of coffee.

I thanked her and headed to the chair next to Kadens which had a plate with toast and an apple.

I ate quickly praying I wouldn't throw up while Kaden and Kris talked.

"hey do you wanna ride with me?" Kaden asked.

"Oh I was gonna r-" I started.

"SHE would absolutely love that!" Kris ran over and covered my mouth.

"But what about you?" I asked more like pleaded her to take the hint.

"Oh nonono don't worry about me, I will see you at lunch" She winked at me and laughed.

Jesus.

I grabbed my bag and went to Kadens car.

"I have something else you need to know.." He looks at me when he gets in.

"yeah?" My anxiety started to kick in at that point.

"a few days ago my dad tried to contact me.." He dropped his head.

"oh my go-... Kaden I'm so sorry. Did you talk to him?" 

"No.. not really, he wants me to go to dinner with him and Charlie his wife this weekend."

"Did you tell your mom? Are you gonna go?" I started firing questions at him.

"Yes I told mom, but I also told her the only way I would go is if you were to come with me.." He looked at me in the eyes. 

~A few hours go by~

"OH MY GOD YOU'RE GONNA MEET HIS DAD?!" Kris basically screams across the lunch room.

"SHHHHH. I mean yeah, he looked so scared I can't have him go on his own especially after what I found out last night." I whispered back

"Ah yeah I know, he explained it all to me this morning when I threatened to rip his spine out and beat him with it" She laughed.

"Jeez Kris that's cold, but very very clever" I laughed back.

"So all these years that he could've contacted Kaden and he never did until now.. Why?" She asked in between bites of her food.

"See that's what I don't understand, none of it makes sense. Also why he would want Kaden to meet Charlie at the same time he's also meeting his son for the first time.." 

Me and Kris through out ideas all lunch but still nothing. 

"Anyways how about that date you went on??" I looked at her and smirked.

"It was really good, Mason is super sweet" She blushed.

"YOU LIKE HIMMMMMM" I teased.

"Okay listen it was ONE date.." She said but then added with a super quiet almost mumbling tone.. "although we have another one planned for Friday..."

"OOOOOOH I CALLED IT. HE IS INTO YOU!" I laughed.

I went about the rest of my classes and got a ride home with Kaden at the end of the day. 

"Okay so the dinner is on Friday and it's this expensive restaurant, but I can drive us both there?" He said once we pulled up to our houses.

"Yeah that's fine." I gave a light smile.

I gave him a hug and walked into my house.

*Ved- Hey mom, it's me. I just want you to know I love you.. and I miss you so so much, please just call me.* 3:56 pm

I made myself some dinner, watched a movie and passed out on the couch.

My mom.. she never replied back.

Alrightt, another chapter! Im gonna try and update every few days or so since quarantine has left me with nothing to do haha.
