At exactly 7pm, I heard the door buzz to my flat.
"Hello? Can I help you?"
"Hi, Ana, it's Benedict. Do you want me to come in or wait in the car?"
I looked around my flat, figured it wasn't too messy, and then replied, "You can come in here. It's quite nippy outside."
I buzzed him up then finished getting ready, slipping a big scarf around my neck.
I had no idea where we would be going, but since Benedict told me to dress comfortably, I dressed in leather boots, jeans, a sweater, and a leather jacket. I'd just thrown my hair into a braid, and I kept worrying that I would look like trash next to Benedict.
There was a knock on my door, and I immediately went to answer it with a grin. "Hey, how are you?"
"Good, and I hope you're doing the same," Benedict stood outside the door, rubbing his hands together to warm up.
"Thankfully I am. So, where are we going tonight? Or is it a surprise?"
"Well... Let's make it a surprise. Ready?"
I nodded and took his arm as he held it out, then I locked the door behind me and we walked outside together to his stylish Jaguar that was still running.
~On the date~
"Speedy's Cafe... I like your way of thinking! Do you actually eat here when you film for Sherlock?"
We were sitting at a table by ourselves, both eating breakfast food because it sounded amazing at the moment.
"Yeah, and whenever I'm in the area. They've done so much for us, and besides, their food is delicious."
"I most definitely agree," I replied, taking a large bite of my omelette.
"So, Ana, tell me about yourself. Aside from the fact that you work at a coffee shop, what else do you do?"
I thought for a moment, then started laughing. "Not much really. I like to go shopping in little boutiques for some of the oddest things, and I also have gotten into watching Netflix a lot lately..."
"Ah, you're a laid back person I presume? Me too. I like to stay home and enjoy a good book when I can."
"Reading!" I proclaimed, then blushed when I realized I had yelled at him. "Sorry, I love reading too. I have a huge book collection at my flat!"
"Maybe I can see it sometime?"
I paused for a moment, trying to see if he was suggesting something else, but he really meant it. (God, he's such a gentleman.) I smiled and nodded, "Sure thing!"
~After the date~
I collapsed on my bed, biting my lip and trying not to scream.
The date had been perfect, and yes, I could consider it a date. Benedict had said that he'd love to get together soon, and I had agreed with him.
We talked about so many different things, and I learned much more about him than anything I could find on the Internet.
I looked at the clock and yawned. It was already 11pm, and I had to work early tomorrow. I changed into my pajamas and got ready for bed, and then finally, I fell asleep with a smile on my face.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:
Sorry, I kind of cut the date short. This chapter was getting a bit long, but it was so cute! Do you think that Ana and Benedict will make a good match?
