As the taxi pulled up to his house, I jumped out, giving the cab driver whatever cash I had. I entered the house since it was open and it hit me, I'm trespassing. My eyes widened and I turned to leave when I trip on something, hitting into something else and went flying forward. Soon, extreme pain came to my leg, I looked over and found I stepped on a soccer ball and went flying into a glass vase. My whole left leg was covered in shattered glass and blood. I stood up and limped over to the bathroom where I found a first aid kit. Carefully and painfully, I pulled out each piece of glass and wrapped my leg, cleaning up the blood.
Once I finished cleaning up my leg, I roamed around, looking for something interesting. I heard the sound of a car pulling up followed by a sound of jingling keys. I ran into the closet bedroom I could find.
"All i'm saying is that futbol is way better than your football." I heard Louis say.
"Whatever." I heard El respond, adding a giggle at the end.
"I'm going to bed. Night." I heard Zayn groggily say. Footsteps starting making their way toward me, and the doorknob turned. "Sara?" Zayn asked, rubbing his eyes.
"Hey.'' I waved and smiled sheepishly.
"What are you doing here? And what happened to your leg?" He asked, more awake than before.
"Funny story, Niall gave me his jacket because I was cold and then I heard Liam talking about me and then I hopped in a cab and found Niall's license and came here." I explained.
"And your leg?" He asked, still confused.
"Well, I realized I was trespassing and I slipped on a soccer ball, falling into a vase and yeah. I wrapped it and cleaned up everything so don't worry." I added, starting to walk away.
"Do you want to stay tonight? We have a guest room for you and one for El." He smiled, leading me to it. I followed him and settled into bed, falling fast asleep.
(Liam)
I watched as Harry and Sara kept on talking. I finally had enough and slammed my fist on the table.
"Enough!" I shouted. Everyone went quiet and Sara excused herself, without making eye contact with anyone. As soon as she left, everyone stared at me.
"What was that?" Louis asked.
"I just had enough of the small jokes and laughter." I shrugged and Harry glared at me.
"I'm going to go check on her." Niall said before excusing himself as well.
"I'll be right back, I have to use the ladies room." El said and kissed Louis's cheek before excusing herself too.
"Come on Liam, don't be mad. You obviously like Sara. I like Jessica." Harry said. Jessica was a girl we met earlier and she was mean and rude and not pretty. "Are you mad because Jessica likes me because I saw you eyeing her earlier." He said.
"I'm not mad, Harry can have her. Why would I want her when I already have someone. Plus she is not even that pretty." I said. I looked up and saw Sara looking at me with a hurt expression on her face. She probably thought I was talking about her.
"Sara, I.." I started talking and walking over to her. She looked down at the ground with the same facial expression.
"Sara" I tried again when she didn't respond. I extended my hand toward her arm and she yanked it away from me.
"I am going to get going. El, you can stay because I see you are having fun right now so, good night to you all. I'll see you all for boot camp." A tear slipping down her face when she finished. She calmly turned around and walked out of the restaurant. I turned back to everyone else, Niall and El sitting back down at the table now. Angrily, El stood up and marched over to me pointing a finger.
"What did you say to hurt her?" She demanded in a loud voice.
"I didn't say anything. I was talking to Harry about..." I trailed off, not wanting to tell Sara's best friend that I have a crush on Sara. A hopeless crush.
"Ugh, for God sakes Liam. He was mad that I was having fun with Sara and since he liked her, that is why he got upset. I asked him about if he was mad about a girl we met earlier and that was when Sara walked in, when Liam was describing another girl." Harry explained to her and El's faced turned from hatred to sympathy.
"Don't worry Liam. It will all work out in the end." She said with a genuine smile and walked back over to Louis.
"She's right mate." He added as she sat in his lap. I smiled, even though I didn't believe it in my heart. We left the restaurant shortly after and headed back to the flat for the time being. Lou asked El to spend the night and she agreed, but different rooms. As we opened the door, we saw a table broken and glass on the ground. Lou and I checked around for any signs of a burglar, but none turned up.
"All i'm saying is that futbol is way better than your football." Lou said to El. They have been arguing for ten minutes about football and football.
"Whatever." El said, playfully punching Lou's arm and giggling.
"I'm going to bed. Night." Zayn said, heading off to his room. We all headed to the den and turned on the television, putting in Toy Story. I smiled and sat with Harry and Niall on the long couch as El and Lou shared the love seat. About ten minutes into the movie, Zayn came and stood in front of the television after turning it off.
"Hey, what gives?" I asked confused.
"So it turns out that the broken glass and table were Sara. She came here when she saw the address on Niall's license and she stepped on the football and she hit the vase. She patched up her leg and is spending the night in one of the guest rooms." He explained and I immediately stood up to go and talk to her, sort things out. Zayn stopped me.
"She's asleep mate, try in the morning." He smiled and returned to his room. After a couple hour or so of watching movies and what not, everyone went to sleep except me. I couldn't sleep. I replayed the scenario again and again in my head from the restaurant. I tried to think of ways Sara might handle it if I tell her my feelings. A creek from one of the doors interrupted my thoughts. I turned around and saw Sara walk out with a blanket wrapped around her. As she walked lazily, I saw her bandaged leg.
"Hey." I smiled softly and stood up.
"Oh, hi Liam. If i'm interrupting something I could just.."
"No. Stay." I said, patting the sofa.
"Okay." She said, rubbing her eyes and yawning. As I scooted over to make room for her, she sat down at another couch. It stung a little bit, but I understood.
"Look Sara, I want to apologize for earlier. If you thought I was talking about you, I wasn't. I promise I would never ever say that about you." I kept babbling on and Sara walked over and kissed me on the cheek.
"Its fine." She smiled and laid down, resting her head on my shoulder and curling up in a ball next to me.
"Good night Sara." I whispered and rested my head gently on hers.
