My feet were pounding against the earth and I could hear the wind rushing by my ears. I gave a thrilled laugh and ran faster and deeper into the woods.
"You will never catch me Niles!" I screeched in joy.
We were playing a game of chase and I was going to win. I ran further into the woods and then ran into something soft that certainly was not a tree. I looked up and screamed. There was a big man in front of me with an evil smile on his face. I stood up and backed away but the man raised a sword with a glowing orb on the end of the blade. I tried to run but the man grabbed my arm and pressed the orb too it. I screeched in pain.
When the man let go I fell to the ground. "Niles! NILES!!!! HELP ME!!!"
Then the man with the glowing orb vanished before my eyes. I lay still on the ground holding my arm crying. I heard footsteps and then my brother's voice.
"Rose!? ROSALIE! ANSWER ME! WHERE ARE YOU? ARE YOU HURT?"
"Here, Niles! I am here!" I yelled as loud as I could.
Then he entered the clearing where I lay sobbing. He saw me and ran to me. I rolled over to my back and he picked me up, holding me to him.
"There was a man Niles. Look what he did!" I showed him my arm which was glowing faint blue.
"Oh my God."
