⠀⠀"Chrom, we have to do something!"

A subtle tone implied, an edge of worry mounted upon her voice.

"Well what do you suppose we do?" Another voice, this time male, queried, tense with suspicion.

"Umm... I don't know!" These voices were oddly quaint, if not familar.

The sun was blinding as I opened my closed eyelids, moaning as I shielded my eyes from the morning sun. "I see your awake now." A male with navy blue hair stated, a smile plastered to his face yet his shoulders were tensed. "Hey there..." A woman said, her olive green eyes piercing as her voice was warming.

"There are better places to take a nap then on the ground you know. Here, take my hand." The man stated, opening his palm as I grasped it and he lifted me to my feet. I glanced around, confused to where I was. Along with the man and the women, there was also an armored man, his features immensely tensed and eyes narrowed. I wonder what was up with him.

⠀⠀"You alright?" The male with azure hair asked, urging me to speak, and somehow, I managed to find my voice. "Y-yes... Thank you... Chrom." It was queer, how I knew his name. I hadn't thought it over, it had just come to me, and I had spoken it. "Ah, then you know who I am?"

Chrom interrogated, his eyebrow raised. "No, actually I... It's strange." I paused, furrowing my eyebrows and attempting to recall my memory. Why couldn't I remember anything? "Your name, it just... Came to me..."

"Hmmm... How curious. Tell me, what's your name? What brings you here?"
"My name is... Its... Hmm..." How cryptic. What WAS my name?

"... You don't remember your own name?" Chrom asked, eyebrows raised skeptically. "I'm not sure... Where exactly are we?"

Almost abruptly, the juvenile blond blurted, her finger raised in the air to silence her comrades. "I've heard of this! It's called amnesia!"

The other man, clad in a suit of armor scowled, his expression stern. "We're to believe you remember milord's name, but not your own?" He inquired, his expression tense. My mind was swarming, did these people see me as a threat? I stammered, shocked at the predicament in which I stood, yet I knew they had no intention of harming me.

⠀⠀"...What if it is true, Frederick? We can't just leave her, alone and confused. What sort of Shepherds would we be then?" Chrom stated arrogantly. Shepherds? I had expected the older man to order Chrom around, seeming as he had authority. "Just the same, milord. I must emphasize caution. 'Twould not do to let a wolf into our flock."

Chrom nodded in agreement. "Right, we'll take her to town this out there." I was baffled. They were speaking as if I wasn't right in front of them! What's worse was I was vaguely aware of the events happening before me. "Do I get a say in this?!?" I interrupted imperatively. I did not want to be thrown in a dungeon.

"Peace, friend - I promise we'll hear all you have to say back in town. Now come." Mysterious how those words eased my worries. With those initiation words, we strode away, the armored man's wary gaze scrutinizing me.

⠀⠀We padded onward in quaint silence, my mind being led on a whim. Should I have trusted these people? They seemed harmless, yet, I wasn't positive. Looks could be deceiving. Spontaneously, I spoke.
"What will you do with me? Am I to be your prisoner?" I spoke the last bit quietly, awfully afraid of the man apparently named 'Frederick' frowning at my awry facade. Chrom chuckled, an unburdening one, a subtle one.

"Hah! You'll be free to go once we establish that you're no enemy of Ylisse." Ylisse? Perhaps I had heard of it before, yet I couldn't recall such a name. This amnesia was making me quite inquisitive. "Is that where we are? Ylisse?"
