watching the sun set through the large window of their shared room, y/n moved closer into mingi's tight embrace. his arms were the only ones that felt like home.

she moved her head from the crook of his neck to look up to his face as the smell of spring blossom wafted through the open window. it was only 7pm but mingi had already fallen asleep. as she gazed at him lovingly, her thoughts regressed back to when they had first gotten together...

he had always watched her across the classroom, not being able to concentrate on his work when they shared the same class. until one day, she looked back. she was confused at first, wondering if there was something wrong with the way she looked. the confusion soon turned to annoyance; she hated feeling like she was being watched every day. so one day she decided she had had enough and chased him down the corridor to finally confront the red-headed boy. she tapped him on the back after building up the confidence to ask him what his problem was. he was taken aback by this, embarrassed that it had affected her enough for her to bring it up. he wasn't sure how to react so he'd simply said "i'm sorry" and watched y/n roll her eyes and walk away. then he'd realised that he couldn't let this moment get away - this might be his chance. the corridor was full of bustling students so he raised his voice slightly to her turned back and said "but I think you're beautiful"... and that had been it. y/n had then realised just how attractive the tall male was, and soon came to learn how sweet and kind, if not a little dippy, he was too. but she didn't care, she fell in love with him and felt safe by his side.

that was six years ago. since then they'd travelled the world and moved into their first house together. y/n had never been more happy than when she was in mingi's arms. even after six years, he still told her how much he adored her at any chance he got. he still bought her flowers for absolutely no reason and planned cute little dates for whenever they had a shared day off work.

he was perfect in every way.

except, there was always - right from the beginning - a tiny bit of jealousy on his part. when other males spoke to y/n he would always hold on to her that little bit tighter. in any situation which included another male he felt somewhat threatened by, if he could do the talking and make sure there was the bare minimum interaction between the guy and his girlfriend, he would.

it had taken y/n years to notice, but once she had, she couldn't remove it from her mind. and as the years went on and perhaps mingi worried y/n would grow tired of him and his silly antics, it only got worse...
