"AGAIN, WHAT'S THE PLAN?" I questioned Katie who was sat next to Freddie on the couch in his shed. It was maybe two weeks after the club incident, and Freddie and Katie were an item now, for god knows why. It was out of the blue, they were hiding it from pretty much everyone.
"It's just a nice little get together in the woods, you will come, won't you?" Katie explained to me, playing with Freddie's hair as she spoke.
I never was a fan of the woods, there were bugs and possible murderers lurking around, it didn't really rub me the right way and never would, but, I didn't really have anything else to do, so I didn't see any harm, "Yeah, I suppose," I said to her with a slow shrug, I then approached Freddie, leaning forward to take the spliff from his lips, making sure to brush my fingertips up against them as I did so, Katie watched us with an annoyed look on her face. As I stood up straight as the door opened behind me, I turned around, spliff between my lips, greeted by Effy, the door closing behind her.
"Hi, Effy, babe, not being funny, you look like microwaved shit, what's up?" Katie said to her, her attention being moved from my little stunt over to Effy, knowing that she had an oppitunity to poke fun at her. I let out a small laugh, which maybe was a little too loud, because Katie leaned forward, slapping my arm to shush me. I cleared my throat, looking back over at Effy, "Wait," Katie spoke again, "It's really good you're here actually, you can drive, right?"
"Uh, yeah, why?" Effy said awkwardly.
"Cause me and Freddie are having a party tonight in the woods," Katie then paused, thinking for a moment in silence, "What's it called again, honey?"
"Gobbler's End," Freddie replied, seeming distant once Effy appeared in the shed.
"That's right! You should come."
I let out a small sigh, throwing myself backward onto the couch next to Freddie's free side, Freddie took this as an opportunity to snag the spliff I nicked from him, taking a hit of it. "I was gonna borrow my dad's car, but now he has to-" Freddie tried to get some words out, Katie was quick to cut him off.
"Take Karen to an audition," She finished off his sentence. He looked over at her, I couldn't tell if he was confused or annoyed, Katie just laughed, "We're always doing that," I rolled my eyes at her. She was so far up his ass, honestly I would think that she was using him as a puppet.
Effy glanced over at me, our glances staying on one another subtly before she looked back over at Katie, clearing her throat, "Uh, yeah, maybe... I have to ask my mum if I can borrow the car."
I snagged the spliff from Freddie once again, he stared at me as I flicked the spliff before taking a hit, I raised a brow at him, he had an apologetic look on his face. I leaned my head back, exhaling, Katie then started to speak, again, "Cool, can we ask you and Harper something, while it's on my mind. Me and Freddie want this to be like a- quiet thing, not some kind of... What did I call it before?" She looked over to Freddie who quickly took his eyes off of him.
"Pikey hoe-down," Freddie answered with a nod.
"Yeah, thanks babe," Katie had a cheeky smile on her face.
"Yeah? What are you getting at exactly?" I questioned her, leaning forward, tilting my head to the side as smoke exited my mouth.
"So... Cook's not invited, cause, well, we don't like him... Sorry about it babes," She placed a hand on my shoulder, as if she was actually apologizing, I knew that she was far from sorry from it.
"Oh, fantastic," I mumbled in response, sinking back into the couch cushions, trying to disappear into the fabric.
Katie stood up, stretching, I watched as she walked towards the door, "Well, you just have a little think about it and let us know, yeah?" She said to Effy as she passed her, her hand on the doorknob now, "I'm gonna go have a shower, you coming, Juicy?" She looked over her shoulder at Freddie once again, giving him a lame excuse for a seductive look.
