Cassie's POV
"Alright... I think I'm ready Cass. Are you?" Brock inquired, as he stood up and went into his kitchen. I stood up and followed him into the kitchen, leaning on the island.
"Well obviously," I smirk as I look up at him. He chuckles and grabs his phone.
"Well alright then. We'll take my black Dodge in my shop," he sniggered. I follow him to the front door, and watch as he grabs a set of keys hook and opens the door.
Brock's POV
I step outside and looked at my blue Dodge I drove today. There, next to it, was a white Dodge. "Is that your truck?" I question her, as she closes the door behind her. I move quickly and lock the door.
"Yeah that's mine. I just got it too."
"So you're also a Dodge person?" I laugh as I start to walk towards my shop, off to the right of my house. "Come on shorty!" I call to her. I look behind me and see she's right behind me. I slow down my walking pace and walked right beside her. As I start to unlock my shop's door. I heard a neigh, just a few feet away and looked up, seeing Cass starting to walk the horses.
"Oh I didn't know you had horses," she babbled, before walking off towards the horses. I chuckle and decide to follow her. 'The bar and grill doesn't close until midnight, and it's only five-thirty.' I thought to myself.
"Yeah. My previous wife didn't want any, but my kids love horses, especially my daughter, Mya," I look down and see her slightly frowned.
"H-How did your whole divorce go anyways?" she whispered.
"It went well. She didn't put up much of a fight. I get my kids every other two weeks. And I never thought I would enjoy being single, but I do," I start, as I move closer to her, placing a hand on her shoulder, "but that doesn't mean I wouldn't mind dating again. Only if she's the right one for me." I smile as I wrap my arm around her shoulders and move her chin to look up at me. I see her blush again and a warm feeling was starting to grow inside of me.
As I look deeper into her eyes, I had to bite my lip to stop myself from kissing her. I've only known her a month and I've already started to fall for her. Good thing we're going out tonight, so I can get to know her better. I pull away slightly, but kept a hand on her shoulder. "So the dun is Spirit, the paint next to him is Rain, that black and white paint is Lacy, the black one over there is Majestic, the palomino is Golden and the bay is Reiner." I point to all of the horses, and out of all six, Majestic was hard to get a hold of. He hated being handled and touched, but he looks up and whinnies before walking over to Cassie. He nudges her hands and nickers quietly and contently. "Wow he's never done that with someone, even me. And I raised him myself," I chuckle as I move away. "Come on let's go. We can go for a ride tomorrow."
"Okay sounds good to me," she calls, from behind me. She runs up and walks beside me. I got my truck out and started it up. I drive it out and park it, letting Cassie get in. As we pull out of the driveway, we both somehow lean toward each other, resting on the center console. We get to the bar and grill and I shut off my truck. "Nice little place here," she smirked as she got out of the truck.
"Yeah it is," I added as I got out as well. "This was the place I went to, once I turned twenty-one, but I would come here all the time with my family, for dinner or lunch or anything really," I mentioned as I held the door open for her.
"Thank you," she blushes as she steps inside.
"Of course," I start as I step behind her, "only for a special woman," I whisper into her ear. I saw a small shiver, creep down her spine as a hostess came and took us to a booth, in the far right corner. I sat on one side and she sat on the other.
