Cassie's POV
The rest of the day was pretty much a bore. While Brock was outside grilling, I laid on the couch with my eyes closed. Diesel was on the floor chewing on one of the toys I brought. I sigh contently and smiled. It was nice to have some time off. I heard the sliding door open and then close, my nose instantly was filled with the scent of burgers. I start to open my eyes when I felt a weight on top of me. "Hey honey the burgers are done," I heard Brock's voice chimed.
I open my eyes and was met with two gorgeous blue eyes. Shortly after my eyes opened I saw a bright, wide smile form onto his lips. "Okay. I would love to get up, but there's this extremely attractive man stopping me from doing just that," I point out with a joking tone to my voice. He leans down and presses another kiss to my lips. It was full of love, passion, and want. We stop when both of our stomachs start to grumble.
"Sounds like we're hungry," Brock inclined, his voice full of sarcasm. He got up and pulled me onto my feet. "Would you like to eat outside?" he queried.
"It looks beautiful outside, so let's eat out there."
"Alright," he plates up my food and hands me a plate full of mashed potatoes, corn, and a burger with cheddar cheese on top. I wait until he gets his plate full and step out, onto the deck. All seven dogs following us. We sat down and started to eat. "I just wanted to let you know that these past four months, of just knowing you, has been the best four months I've had in a long time," Brock commented after he swallowed his food, looking at me. I met his eyes and felt my cheeks start to warm up. "I know I commented on why you still blush when I compliment you, but I've started to love that about you. That just goes to show how much you appreciate my compliments, and it's pleasing."
"Well, I'm glad you like it," I look up at him and send him a small beam of a smile. He reaches over and grabs my hand.
"What? Do you not like it?" he puzzled, with a look of sadness quickly appearing on his face.
"Oh not Brock I love it. I should've rephrased that, I'm sorry," I responded. He beamed and ran his thumb over my knuckles. He lets go of my hand and we return to eating. Once we were done, Brock grabs my plate and his, walking back inside. "Hey I could've gotten that!" I call from outside. He walks back out and came up to me. He grabbed my hands and pulls me up. He kept my hands in his and walk backwards. He spins me around and takes a seat back in his chair. He pulls my arms and makes me walk backward.
When my calves touch the edge of the chair, he pulls me down. Now here I am sitting in his lap. He wraps his arms around my torso and rests his chin on my shoulder. I lean back and rest the back of my head on his shoulder. Brock presses his cheek against my temple and cradled my head with his head and shoulder. "I hope you're happy Cass. I feel horrible that you were dealing with all of this bullshit, that has happened with the WWE."
"I am Brock, and it's thanks to Steph, Hunter, Randy, Paul, and of course, you," I reply as I turn my head and press a kiss just below his ear. He sighs and kisses my neck. "I just hope your kids like me."
"They'll love you. They loved you when we video chatted when I last had them," his voice was full of happiness and contentment.
"Okay, I trust you."
"Hey want to go swimming? I have a medium-sized, man-made, pond here on my property. I had that put in about a week and a half ago, and it's only two-thirty."
"I would love to go, but I didn't bring anything to go swimming in," I say as I look out at our horses.
"The Walmart is only a five-minute drive away. We can go get you something and then come back. Also, I hadn't seen that blue truck, you drove today, before."
