12th August
Today, I have to go and see the dressmaker again. (Sigh) At least, this time, I won't be fainting, or having reunions with ex-boyfriends! To be honest, wearing a dress is just as bad as both those things put together, but never mind..
"Seemingly dressmakers never sleep," Harriet muttered as we stood outside the dressmaker's office. She was speaking for all of us. It's 7:00 am, and I'm standing outside a hotel room, ready to wear a dress. "Call me fussy, but I really prefer to be in bed at this time every day," I mumbled, stifling a yawn.
At long last, the dressmaker came out of the room. "Thanks for meeting me!" she said, chipper as ever. We followed her in, and she gave us each a bundle of clothes and shoved us in separate rooms.
I looked around the room I was in. It was a bedroom. I looked down at the pile of clothes in my hands, and, shrugging, made my way into the bathroom attached.
I opened the bathroom door, and someone was standing there. Brandon. In his pants. I screamed, running out of the room. "Molly?" I heard Harrison call. I didn't answer, and he came rushing in, wrenched open the bathroom door, and, just before he opened it, I yelled, "No! Don't go in there! Brandon is..." I trailed off, and Harrison grabbed the door and opened it.
Harrison's jaw dropped open. By then, Brandon's mum, the dressmaker, had come rushing in. "Oh, Molly, I'm sorry! I must have sent you in the wrong room!" Then, Brandon came out of the bathroom, "Hi Mol, Harry, mum!" turning to me he said, "Sorry about that! I didn't realise that you needed space!"
"I will never be able to get that image out of my brain! No offence or anything but... Eww, it was a bad image.." I told him. Then I remembered the dress in my hands. "Oh, I'd better try this on.." I dashed into the bathroom, praying that once this dress try-on session was over, running into the same room as a half-naked best friend, is just a distant memory.
I didn't look at the dress until I'd slipped it over my head. When I looked in the mirror, I saw practically a different person. This girl had long blonde hair, falling in loose waves, blue eyes so dark that they looked almost black, and was wearing a beautiful dress.
The dress was mint green, and knee-length, with a bodice and sleeves in a pale lacy white, with a peppermint coloured skirt. It was elegant but classy at the same time. If I ever did love a dress it would be this one.
When I stepped out of the bathroom, Brandon's mum was waiting and agreed that the dress fitted well enough to wear at the wedding. Leaving the dress with her, I headed off to find Harrison.
When I found him, he asked, "How'd it go?" and I surprised myself with the answer that I said. I was expecting it to be a total disaster, but, actually, other than bursting in on Brandon, it went okay. I told Harrison as much.
My mum came up behind us, "Molly, your cousins Madison and Ava are here." I groaned, and she continued, "Go and meet them when you have a spare minute. Take Harrison with you..." She wandered off, leaving me sighing.
Madison and Ava are my other cousins. And, to say the very least, they are always being unintentionally irritating. I explained to Harrison a few simple facts before we headed down to the foyer to greet my cousins. Madison and Ava are twin sisters, the same age as me, and they're constantly showing off and trying to get their way.
Clearly something is very wrong with my family, a Gothic sister, a crazy Aunt, arrogant cousins, an incredibly stressed mum, and then there's me... My family should come with a warning!:)
Anyway, Harrison and I went down to the foyer to greet my cousins. We arrived just in time, because, just as we got there, Ava and Madison walked into the hotel. Leaving their parents to take care of their suitcases ( see I told you that they get what they want) they walked over to us.
