I agreed. I know, I know, it was stupid to agree, but part of me, the small insecure part of me that has an impact on my decisions, is screaming at me to give him another chance. One more chance. If he messes up this time, he'll be out of my life before he can say whatever the longest word on the planet is...
Secretly, I'm also incredibly fascinated about what he's going to do, but I would never admit it to him, in a million years. I mean, he's known me for at least 10 years, and 8 of those years I've been crushing on him (Yes, it's inadvisable crushing on someone for that long, but nobody told me that, okay:D)
As an act of distraction, I went in search of Brandon. I found him, in his room, with Harrison. " What are you doing?" I asked, curiously, hoping Brandon would spill.
"Girls with boyfriends that are giving up their whole day to surprise them later, shouldn't be asking questions," Brandon smiled.
"He's not.." I began, and then I saw Harrison's face. His smile slowly turned into a frown, a sight you don't see very often. I'm not going to spoil it for him if he's going to try. And, even if he's not my boyfriend, presently, I'm still here for him as a friend, and what sort of friend hurts their best friend's feelings?!"He's not going to give anything away, is he?" I changed my sentence, and Harrison's smile appeared again.
"Nope, my lips are sealed, and so are Brandon's so don't try bribing him with melon!" he told me, cheerfully. To anyone out there, thinking "is this Harrison guy crazy??", and "why would you bribe somebody with melon, of all foods," I can reassure you, that Harrison isn't crazy, much as he is the wackiest person you'll ever meet (Just kidding) it's just that Brandon has a really weird food crave: melons. So, if I ever need to persuade Brandon, I just need to make sure I'm carrying a melon around with me! Of course, this is the most normal thing that you could possibly carry around with you...:D
Anyway, it seems that I'll be spending time with none of my friends together, because Harrison, Harriet and Brandon are all seemingly occupied with this surprise.. Maybe Harrison's trying too hard- that would be ironic.
I decided to head to the pool for a swim, but sadly somebody had got there before me. Namely Alex Bacon. *Hugh sighs come from every direction* "Hi Alex," I told him.
"I haven't seen you in ages!!"
"More like a few days," I answered. Did I ever mention, that Alex uses hyperbole more often than I do (and that is seriously saying something)."You're still annoyed at me," Alex groaned.
"Not really," I shrugged. Under-estimation of the year...
Shoving a pair of goggles on my head, I dived into the pool.Yes, I'm well aware that it was rude, but emergencies are emergencies, right?!?! When I came up from the surface, Alex was yelling across the water. "What?" I asked.
"You're wearing my goggles."
Oops. Seemingly I was in too much of a rush, to notice the difference between mine and Alex's goggles. Handing the goggles to him, I grabbed my own, and jumped into the pool again, drenching Alex."You, Molly, are gonna pay," he teased, jumping into the pool, after me, and chasing after me. We chased each other for a while, and I realised how good it felt to be hanging out with Alex again. It was like what it used to be before he started crushing on me.
Reading my thoughts, Alex told me, "I'm not crushing on you any more." I flung my arms around Alex. "Yesssssss!!!"I yelled. Alex grinned.
"So we can go back to being best friends?" he asked.
"As long as you don't ever start crushing on me... Ever again.."
"Don't worry, I'll leave that to Harrison. " I grinned.
"Now, what's been going on with you, Harriet and Harrison?!"
"You don't miss a lot, do you?"
"No, I don't, and stop side-tracking, I'm gonna hate myself for saying this, but I'm dying to know this info.."
