Kat pulls up to the player parking lot like she had so many times the season before and the security guard waves her down and she quickly realizes that none of them know her new car. She slows down and rolls down her window and waves at the guard. Her bright yellow nails and diamond bracelets catch the light.

"Is that Kat?" The guard asks and leans down to peer into her new Lamborghini.

She flashes him a smile, "Yes, sorry I didn't mean to blow through y'all at the front forgot you didn't know this car."

"No more Challenger?" He asks.

She shakes her head, "Upgraded my entire life."

He laughs, "Christian didn't drive here today so his spot is open."

Kat nods and pulls away to her boyfriend's spot. The doors of her fancy car glide up and she gracefully exits with her Chanel bag clutched to her side. Kat pulls her ripped vintage Wrangler shorts down and adjusts the vintage Counsell jersey she had managed to score in a thrift store in Kansas City this past winter on top of her white crop top trying to make sure she wasn't nipping too hard in the mild spring weather. She hopes she looks good enough for her big public debut since her little incident in New York almost two weeks ago. She also decided to wear her lucky sneakers: a pair of Off-White Jordan 1's in the Chicago colorway customized by Virgil Abloh himself with "Air Kat" written in sharpie. She needed all the good luck she could get heading into this stadium to watch her boyfriend who may not be her boyfriend in a few hours depending on how their conversation goes.

Deep breaths... In and out and in and out.

"I swear I thought you were lying about buying this car!" Baker yells from nearby.

Kat turns quickly trying to locate her friend. She sees him trying to sneak up on her from a few cars down, "Buddy!" She cheers and wraps her arms around Baker's neck as he swings her around in a circle.

Baker crouches down and takes his sunglasses off to admire the shiny yellow 750 Lambo, "This shit is dope," he stands shaking his head, "Lemme whip it?"

Kat makes a face at him, "Yeah the fuck right."

"Come on!" Baker insists as Kat starts towards the ball park, "Bro, look at you. Look at these shoes and these chains!" He exclaims lifting one of the diamond chains on her neck, "That shit got a little weight to it! And the wrist is iced out. You're big money now."

Kat has to laugh at that, "All the jewelry was part of a gift box sent from Tiffanys and you know I've had these shoes for like three years since I signed as an Off-White rep."

Baker shakes his head, "Stop being humble you're really been that bitch and still that bitch, but will you forever be that bitch?" Baker grins a cheesy smile as he quotes Meg the Stallion and tries to cover up his anxiety over his conversation with Christian that happened less than 24 hours ago.

Kat sighs, "Yeah will forever be that bitch who ruins everything."

Baker frowns seeing the overwhelming sadness that still weighs down her body and he thinks twice about telling her about Christian's little girlfriend in Phoenix. He knows Christian still had to find out what happened, but in those situations there's like a 2% chance that the professional athlete did not fuck the bitch. Baker pinches Kat's cheek trying to switch her sadness to annoyance, "Oh come on you do not. I talked to Christian last night, everything is gonna be fine." Baker tells her then starts to feel a little guilty knowing he may have lied to her.

"How is he doing?" Kat asks.

Baker nods, "Good, not as confused and ready to play baseball." This was true, at least.
