I knew I just slept for a few minutes when I felt the edge of my bed sink.

I gently sat up brushing my eyes with the back of my hand.

I squinted my eyes since my vision was still blurry from waking up abruptly, there was a lean black figure sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Luke?" I muttered my voice a little hoarse, "What are you doing in my room?" I yawned.

"I couldn't sleep."

"Well go back to bed," I lay back down, closing my eyes, trying to ignore his presence.

"Babe-"

"Luke I'm trying to sleep" I gritted thru my teeth. Annoyed.

I hear him let out a deep breathe before leaving me alone.

When the door clicked open making it obvious that he was about to leave I gave in.

"Wait-" I muttered. "Just stay for a minute" I sat up turning the small lampshade on.

He sighed and I rested my back against the headboard of my bed.

"I just..couldn't sleep-can we talk for awhile?" His voice was low and his eyes were blood shot.

I nodded, "Okay but we need to keep it down. I don't want aunt Belinda getting the wrong expression."

He smirked but the smirk on his face didn't last long, "Why did you ask Calum to be here with you and spend the holidays with him when you could've just asked me?" He asked, emotionless.

My heart started to race, "I don't...I don't know. I guess I was just so confused and maybe mad?"

"Mad? Why? Because of what I've done? Because of me?"

"No..no. I'm just..disappointed with what's happening, you know?"

"Oh." Was his only answer.

It was silent for a moment. I pat down the space on the bed motioning him to sit when I noticed that he had been standing in front of me against the door frame.

He obliged and I scoot a little to give him more space.

We were really silent. Too quiet that it almost made me deaf, I couldn't hear anything else but the cicadas and crickets chirping and our-breathing.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked wanting to break the ice.

He shrugged his shoulders off, "Nothing. Just thinking about some things-"

"Like what?" I asked more.

"Like what I asked you awhile ago. 'What happened to us?'" He explained.

I was speechless.

"Do you still love me?" I asked.

"There wasn't a day that I stopped loving you, Scott." He answered but he wasn't looking at me, he was staring into space.

I was again, indeed, speechless.

"Do you still love me?" I was taken aback by him shoting back my question.

Tonight's the night that I wanted us to be okay. I hate it when people ask me every time they see me if I was okay it made me feel that I should tell them that I am even though I am not. I hated the fact that my friends were always there to look after me like I was some kid. I need to stand up for my own and there is only one way for me to do that..and that's for me to tell the truth, that's the only way left to finish what I've started.

"I've always loved you." I answered.

He looked straight into my eyes in disbelief.

He shook his head and cleared his throat.

"I uh-have to go" He stood up leaving me alone in my dark room.

I skip my way down to the stairs only to be surprised with Uncle George sitting on the old recliner reading yesterday's paper since obviously the snow was way too harsh for the newspaper boy to deliver new ones. Its December 24th.

"If you're looking for your boyfriend, he's in the kitchen playing house with my wife-" He laughed at his sick joke.

I practically rolled my eyes as I make my way to the kitchen. As if he's implying that aunt Belinda is some kind of cougar or whatever. What kind of man talks like that about his wife? I just feel so disgusted.

I entered the kitchen and it smelled great.

"Oh, good morning!" Luke greeted me and aunt Belinda smiled mg way as well.

"What's up with you guys?" I asked as I sit myself on the bar stool by the kitchen counter.

"Nothing. I was just teaching Luke how to make some fruitcake." Aunt Belinda patted Luke's shoulder.

I smiled at the thought of them two being close.

What worried me first was about Luke and Calum's tattoos. I thought that my aunt would flip seeing them but that's the good thing about aunt Belinda she is not like some other local housewives who would flip out seeing guys with not normal amounts of tattoos and peircings in their body.

"Here-" Luke placed a plate a fork in front of me a placed a waffle. "Do you want creme on it?" He scratches the back of his head.

I nodded, "Yes please."

He smiled and grabbed something from the fridge. Whipped creme and some fresh strawberries and bananas.

"I'll leave you two for awhile" Aunt Belinda placer her hand on my shoulder before leaving us alone in the kitchen.

Luke placed some of his chopped strawberries and bananas on top of my waffle before placing some whipped creme on top of it.

"I could do a lot more better, I swear" He chuckles when he failed to shape the creme like an ice cream on top of the fresh fruits and I just laughed.

"I like you like this" I smiled.

"What do you mean?" He asked confused.

"I should've said it last night but...I love you."
