The start of a crush

Kara POV

I'm on my own and fighting cat women, I caught her trying to rob the museum after a concert and I came to stop her of course. I contacted everyone that all need back up because she's a slippery one.

"Get back here you stupid cat!" I yell chasing after her into the gems room.

"Catch me if you can." She yells back I run inside looking all around not being able to find her. I'm careful looking around to make sure she doesn't jump out on me.

"Come here kitty kitty." I say hoping that will get her attention. I look around waiting for the smallest sound.

"Come here dummy dummy." I hear her respond and I charge in that direction using my heat vision to shoot. When the smoke clears all I notice is a demolished safe.

"Damn it." I curse myself, I helped her steal the gem inside the safe. She couldn't have gotten far I have to keep her here long enough till the girls get here.

I head to the middle of the museum listening in silence completely focused. "Where are you." I whisper focusing and listening for her movement. I jump when I suddenly hear movement right behind me. I turn around and find car women jumping on top of me. I'm about to fight back when suddenly I feel..weak. "What's going on..?" I ask suddenly feeling drowsy.

She gets off me placing a green gem on my stomach. "Oh you didn't know? That little old thing is kryptonite you know from your home planet." She remarks. "It's suppose to suck away all your powers." She comments laughing.

I try to stand up but I can't. I have to keep her here a bit longer. I start trying to reach out and grab her but I can't."stupid cat." I curse.

"Whatever all be off now." She says starting to leave. I feel my eyes starting to close. "I couldn't do it.." are my last words as the drowsiness makes me pass out.

Zee's POV

We got the call from kara that she needs back up. We all decide to meet kara there. Once we arrive we find shattered glass, the sign of a break in of course. We all head inside the only thing we're able to see inside is a glowing green gem.

We slowly as go down towards its. "Guys that's kryptonite." Barbra comments. Her eyes going wide.

Jessica takes out a flashlight pointing it around before landing on the kryptonite then..Kara?

"Kara?" I whisper kneeling down next to her. I put my ear against her chest still hearing a heart beat I sigh in relief.

"Zee get the kryptonite away from her!" Barbra yells at me. I then remember kryptonite can harm Kara. I pick it up tossing it aside it landing somewhere.

"You guys go find cat women." I tell them. "I'll take care of kara." I assure them.

"Are you sure?" Diana asks worried.

"Just go she couldn't have gotten far." I remark. They all start looking at each other unsure before heading towards the exit.

"Common kara wake up." I beg shaking her. She should wake up after awhile since the kryptonite isn't near her anymore.

I pick her up and lay her on my lap rubbing my thumb against her cheek. A few seconds after her eyes start to slowly open. Her vision seems to be adjusting. "Zee?" She asks.

"It's me sweetie." I respond just happy she's finally come too.

She then sits up immediately. "Where's Cat-women?!" She asks.

"The girls are out the finding her." I respond and she relaxes a bit. "How are you feeling?" I ask still worried about her.

"I'm fine now." She responds rubbing her head probably still feeling a bit drowsy. "we have to go help the girls." She says trying to slowly stand up.

She's about to fall when I catch her wrapping an arm around my shoulder to steady herself. "Let me help." I say trying to help her up.

"Okay." Is all she says as we both slowly start walking out, we find the girls outside with cat women tied up. When Kara sees her I can feel her anger. "That little.." she gets off me and immediately starts to fall again I rush over to catch her, feeling her face on my chest making me blush a light pink.

"Supergirl are you alright?" I ask gently placing her down.

"Yeah just let me beat that cat up." She says trying to stand up again.

"she's caught kara." I respond trying to calm her down. Seeing her like this hurt and angry...

I feel her tense. I let her go standing up as Kara stares at me on her knees. "Girls I can take it from here just get supergirl home." I tell them glaring at Cat-Women. All because of her, she's the reason kara is like this that slimy..

"Zatanna we cant leave you alone with her." Karen argues.

"Girls trust me I want to be the one to take her in." I clench my fist.

"You look mad." Cat-women comments a cat-like grin appearing on her face.

"All show you mad." I respond, I feel a laser blast appearing around my fists. She only laughs, and it makes me even angrier. I'll show her what happens when she hurts kara. I about to throw a punch at her with the laser blast when I feel someone grab my wrists.

My eyes going wide when I see who it is. "Zatanna maybe you should go and let me and the girls handle this." Diana tells me. "You are far to angry she is defeated so leave it at that." She lectures and my eyes go wide realizing what I was doing the purple light fading from my eyes. I fall to my knees and stare at the ground.

I hear cat-women laughing. "Looks like you aren't as good a superhero as you think." She comments. She's right...I let my anger cloud my hear not focusing on anything else.

"Just take her away already." I demand not looking up at them. I feel ashamed I let my emotions get the better of me.

"Zatanna are you alright." I feel Karen placing a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm alright." Is all I say I feel all there eyes on me.

"You heard her just take her away!" I hear kara yell at them from behind me.

They nod there heads after kara yells at them. Leaving me and Kara alone. I feel her placing a hand on my shoulder. "You alright?" I hear her ask.

"I'm fine kara."I respond. I feel myself growing angry at myself, how could I act like that, Kara saw everything...

She bends down kneeling down next to me. "Zee look at me." She says lifting my chin slowly and I look at her. "Why were you mad?" She asks looking at me with worry.

I don't feel like telling her because I know she's going to lecture me. "It wasn't because of me was it?" She asks and I look away from her. "Babe..."is all she says pulling me into a hug.

"I went way out of line." I say feeling her arms tightening around me.

"Yeah but I do it all the time, I don't think there's anything wrong with you messing up once." She lectures and I feel a little better. "Plus she had it coming." She adds

"Yeah.." I respond and Kara pulls away from the hug.

"Okay now kiss me, because I just saw a side of you that was so hot." She tells me and I laugh.

"You like seeming me angry?" I asks finding it funny.

"Yeah just not at me because when you are  it just turns me-" I cover her mouth. The rest being mumbled.

"Okay I get it kara." I respond laughing at her. She laughs as well before she starts pulling me in for a kiss, and just like that we're making out in front of a museum in the middle of the night on the street.

I love how she can always make me feel better, I love her so much.
