Refusal

"I refuse!" Everyone in the room looked at me, I was presuming they were shocked but I couldn't tell with the masks.

"What do you mean you refuse!"

"I refuse to guard the boy that killed my clan!" Silence.

"Well, you will be guarding him wether you want to or not. That is final." I huffed and walked to the back of the room, fixing my bunny mask in the process.

"Well maybe I-" I was cut off by the man himself and his siblings walking in. My team captain walked up to me and grabbed my shoulder.

"Bailie I understand where your coming from, but we can't refuse this mission." I just huffed and looked away from Sika.

"This will be the two people guarding you on the way back, Gaara, Temari and kankuro, meet Sika and Raikou."

"What happened to the code names!"

"You won't need them for this mission. Dismissed." Huffing I ran a hand through my long pink hair and followed the siblings out with Sika, muttering curse words under my breath.

"We will meet at the gate in 10." And with that me and Sika ran to the gate, not bothering to wait.

"So what was that about in the office?"

"That Gaara kid killed my clan, I'm the girl who turned up at the Konoha gates covered in blood, weapons and sand 5 months ago." I replied as we stopped.

"Well, it is our mission to guard them, not be friendly..." I quickly caught where he was going and sharply nodded my head.

All five of us sprinted off down the dusty road that lead away from Konohagakure and towards Sunagakure. It was awkward at first as the siblings tried to talk to us, but we didn't reply and they soon figured out that we weren't going to talk.

A fair amount of time past as we sprinted through the forest and I soon noticed Temari and Kankuro getting tired. Well it was nearly night fall so that was understandable.

"We will stop here for the night." I announced slowing down.

"But I'm not tired yet." Complained Gaara and Sika at the same time, like children.

"I understand since I'm not tired either, but it is our duty to get you back safely, and having 2 out of 3 sibling passed out wouldn't be good, would it?" I stated monotonously. Gaara just nodded and sat down, whilst the other two collapsed. "Me and Sika will guard tonight, so feel free to sleep."

"I will help-" Said Gaara, only for me to cut him off.

"No you won't. Your safely is my problem now, and I don't need to lose my head because of you."

"If you are angry ab-"

"I am not angry, just doing my job." Sika decided to intervene.

"Raikou is right you know, she would throw you to the wolves if she could." If glares could kill, Sika would be 6 feet under for revealing my true feelings.

"Good night Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro." I said as I turned around, watching the forest.
