My body felt weak and empty, my wrists were sore and the only thing I could focus on were the sounds of my heavy breathing. I twitched once again as the last bit of electric shocks left my system. I was in my sports bra and black skirt from the day before. The day where the house got shot up; it's felt like years since then. I threw my head back, wishing I was at home, wishing that I knew if Scott was safe or not. Allison knew that I was a werewolf and I had no clue if she figured out Scott was one as well. When she left, I knew she was scared, anyone would've been.

"What are they?" Allison asked as she looked at my body, drenched in sweat.

"Shapeshifter. Lycan. Werewolf. To me? They're just another dumb animal," Kate said as my screamed filled the room, the electrical current hitting my body like a ton of bricks. "Come here," Kate said as she walked up to Derek, "See these right here? These are canines, also known as fangs. Made for the tearing and rending of flesh. Not something you'd find on those cute, leaf-eating herbivores, is it?" She let go of his mouth, Derek still too weak to do anything.

"Is this a joke to you?" Allison asked appalled.

"Sweetheart, there are Werewolves running around in the world. Everything's a joke to me. How else do you think I stay sane?" She replied as she moved away from the two of us.

"So, it was him at the high school? And all the other animal attacks?" Allison questioned as she stared at Derek's limp body.

"There's actually three of them-- another younger one like them, called a Beta, and then there's the Alpha. Alpha's the pack leader-- bigger, stronger, nastier. Those are the real ugly motherf--"

That's the last thing I remembered before I blacked out.

When I woke up, I was still chained to the fence, the only thing different was that Derek was awake. "Why?" He asked me.

"Why what?" I responded, irritated at or current situation.

"Why did you stay, risk getting caught,"

"If this is gonna turn into one of you little lectures, I'll pass. Look, I don't know why I did it-- maybe I didn't want to see you dead, or maybe I was just too slow with my escape. The only thing that matter's now is getting out," I confessed, my vision blurring slightly.

"I can't teach you now," Derek stated,

"Not now, but later, when we're free... when you're the Alpha?" Derek used all of his strength to turn his head and give me a small nod. I smiled but was soon too weak to keep my head up.

The door opened and Kate walked towards the table, "Come on, Derek. He killed your sister. Now, either you're not telling me because, well, you want to kill him yourself... or, for some reason, you're protecting him." She informed him in a bored tone as she went through his leather jacket. She pulled out his ID and walked up to him.

"Look at that sour face," She said as she grabbed his chin. "I bet you always used to get people coming up to you saying, 'Smile, Derek!' 'Why don't you smile more?' Don't you just wanna kick those people in the face?" Kate walked back over to the table.

"I can think of one," Derek threatened irritably.

"Promise? 'Cause if I thought you'd be that much fun, I'd let you go," She replied, amused. She grabbed his phone and started looking through it, "All right, let's see... Nothing... nothing... nothing... God, I hate this detective crap."

"Are you gonna torture us, or are you just gonna talk us to death, huh?" I interrupted, incredibly annoyed.

"Oh, sweetie, I don't-I don't wanna torture you." She walked towards me and push my hair behind my shoulders, then she turned to Derek. "I just wanna catch up! Remember all the fun we had together?"

"Like the time you burned my family alive?" Derek said furiously.

"No, I was thinking more about the hot, crazy sex we had... But, the fire thing? That was fun, too." Derek pulled against the chains as I rolled my eyes.

"Kill me now, please," I said sarcastically as Kate and Derek stared angrily at each other.

"I love how much you hate me. Remember how this felt?" She bent down and licked up his abs with a smile. Derek pulled against the chains again, snapping his teeth at her. "Sweetheart... I really don't want to torture you..." She backed away from us, "But he does," An angry bald man walked into the room, cracking his knuckles as he approached us.

"Shit," I muttered as he walked towards the dial and turned it on.

I had no clue how much time had passed. Derek and I were still chained up, and the only good thing was that the man left, and we still had our fingers. "Any idea how to get out?" I asked him hopefully.

"No," I groaned, still living off of the thought that somebody, hopefully, Scott, noticed that I wasn't at school.

"How about, when Kate comes back in, you go all 'Super Sexy Derek' and seduce her into letting us go," He glared at me, "I said super sexy, not super angry,"

"How are you optimistic, we're chained up to a fence getting electrocuted for hours straight," Derek asked me.

"'Cause unlike you, I know that Scott is trying to make a plan, a plan where nobody gets bit and nobody dies," I retorted quickly.

"You trust Scott?" I looked at Derek and nodded.

"Yes, and you should too,"

"Unfortunately Derek... Sydney, if you're not gonna talk... I'm just gonna have to kill you." Kate said as she sat on a chair, back facing us. "So, say 'hi' to your sister for me." She put her hand on the dial but stopped, "...You did tell her about me, didn't you? The truth about the fire? Or did you? Did you tell anybody?"

Derek stayed quiet, but I was intrigued. "You started the fire, you're the reason innocent children died, and why Peter's a psychotic bitch," I said out loud.

"Oh, sweetie... she's smart, I like her," Derek was still silent, "That's just a lot of guilt to keep buried. It's not all your fault. You got tricked by a pretty face!" She flashed a smile and stood up from her chair. "It happens. Handsome young werewolf mistakenly falls in love with a super-hot girl who comes from a family that kills the werewolves. Is that ironic?" She looked at me, waiting for an answer but I rolled my eyes. "Is it ironic that you're inadvertently helping me track down the rest of the pack-- again? Or, is it just a little bit of history repeating?"

She walked back to the dial and Derek was still quiet, almost as if he was trying to not cry... "History repeating... It's not her, 'cause she just got bit," I pulled on my chains. "It's not Jackson, is it?" She questioned herself, finders drumming on the circuit board. "Oh, no, no, no... he's got a little scratch on the back of his neck, but... he's not in love with Allison." He turned around with a smile, finally connecting the dots. "Not like Scott,"

She walked out of the room and I looked at Derek sadly, "Now she knows who the second beta is, and she's gonna kill him, shit!" I yelled angrily and I pulled again the restrains. "You have to do something, she can't kill Scott,"

"I can't do anything," He mumbled, as a loud roar echoed through the city, making its way to where we were trapped.

"Please, Derek, he's going to die," I pleaded, reconizing the roar as Scott. I was worried that someone already found him... or worse, Peter.

"What do you want me to do!" He yelled back at me.

"You know what you need to do," I told him and he took a deep breath before a loud roar ripped through his throat.
