Chapter 29~The Bus Ride

Ninis pov

I woke up to my alarm. Its 5 am. Ughh.

I went in my closet to grab a hoodie my eyes landed on Rickys. Would that be weird?
I threw it on and some leggings. I put on my chapstick and put my hair in a ponytail.

I need to wash his hoodie but I'm scared his sent will come off. I washed it before but I'm scared.

I walked downstairs and grabbed a granola bar. I headed upstairs. To hug my mom's goodbye.

"Mom" I whispered shouted they were barley waking up

"I'm heading out soon so I wanted to say bye," I told them while walking closer to them. I gave them each a hug. I walked out and looked at Giselle's room.

I knocked on it. "Yeah" I heard inside
I opened the door then saw her on her phone.

"I'm leaving soon I wanted to say bye"
She got up from the bed. She then walked over and hugged me.

"Bye stay safe please," she said rubbing my back.
I nodded and headed downstairs.

I went to Camila room she was knocked out I kissed her forehead. And gave her a little hug. I then went to the kitchen waiting for E.J.

I heard a honk and a car pulling up in my driveway.

I grab my suitcase and my bag. I made sure I had my keys and phone. I head out and walked to the trunk. I put the suitcase in the car. There was someone in the car but I couldn't tell who.

I opened the door in the backseat and saw Ricky.

Great, this isn't awkward.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him very confused.

"Ms. Jenn said it was mandatory. So I have to come on the trip" he said looking at me.

I got in the car and closed the door.

E.J started the car and drove off. I felt Ricky's eyes on me the whole time. When we got to the school I got out of the car and grabbed my bag and wrapped it around my shoulder.

I tried to grab my suitcase but Ricky grabbed it from me.

"Thank you"
He nodded with a smile.

I say, Kourtney and Ashlyn. I think they had a sleepover last night. I don't honestly know. They came from the same car.

I ran and hugged Kourtney. I missed my best friend even though I saw her yesterday.

"Okay let's get on the bus" Gina yelled we all ran.

I got on the bus and E.J and Gina we're going to sit behind me. I plopped in a seat and grabbed my headphones and plugged them into my phone. And listened to breaking free on repeat.

I was scrolling through Instagram. I grabbed my blanket and spread it out over me. Someone sat in the chair next to me I look to see who it was.

I say the curly hair boy. With his chocolate brown eyes.

"Hey"
"Hey"

"Uhm I know this is awkward but I just want you to know that Kennedy and I are no longer whatever we were"
I nodded

"Can we talk later I'm really tired?" I hoped he said yes cause I rather have this conversation private than on a bus.

He nodded I closed my eyes.

I fell asleep but waking up to my head on his shoulder.

He then lifted my head a bit. To put the armrest in the middle of us down. Then I snuggled into his side. He wrapped his arm around me. Laying his head on mine.

I smiled at how he wanted to make sure I was comfortable during sleep. He kissed my head causing me to fall in a deep deep sleep.

Oh, this bus ride is a day-long bus ride. I have a feeling I'm going to be just fine.

I woke up to Ricky tapping my shoulder. He then lifted his arm from being around me.

"What's going on?" I asked him I rubbed my eyes
"We're at a pit stop"

"What state are we in?" I stood up from my seat putting the blanket on the seat

"Were in Nebraska right now?" he told me him and E.J walking out the bus. I walked out with Gina right behind them.

"So are you and Ricky back together?" Gina asked
"No no, we need to talk things out," I told her shaking my head. Ashlyn and Kourtney came up to us.

"Nini were you asleep?" Ashlyn asked
"Yes under the arm of Ricky Bowen" Gina teased

"Shut it I don't wanna hear it. I just wanna pee!" I told them running inside the building

I got to the bathroom and did my businesses. Then I washed my hands. Gina and Kourtney walked in along with the other theater girls.

"What time is it guys?" I asked

"Its like 2 pm. And we're barely 10 hours in" Kourtney said coming out her stall and washing her hands

"Are you serious I was asleep for 10 hours!" I exclaimed
"well you were very comfortable" Gina teased coming out her stall. Kourtney and I were drying our hands.

Gina washed hers and we headed out the bathroom. I saw E.J and Ricky joking around. They were laughing their butts off. I smiled at it.

Gina ran towards E.J He immediately grabbed her by the waist. Lifting her a little bit. Ricky smiled at the sight.

I walked up to them. Ricky looked forward to seeing me standing them. He grabbed my waist pulling me into a hug. I got on tippy toes

I then wrapped my arm around his neck. Then I rested my head on his chest. He tightened his grip lifting me.

"Ahhhhh! Ricky! Put me down!" I screamed
He just lifted me more off the ground.

I almost tied my legs around him as an instinct. But I kept my legs down.
He put me down. I unwrapped my arms. and separated from him. Gina sent me a smirk. I wrapped my arm around her.

We walked towards the bus.
"Sooooo! What was that about?" Gina said bumping her hip into mine

"We'll talk about that when we get at the hotel," I told her
She rolled her eyes and groaned.

"When we get to Illinois hotel we will talk and have a girls night"

"Oh yeah sign me up for that," She said. Then someone pulled her away from me.
"E.J she's mine!" I yelled at him taking her away wrapping his arm around her. Bringing her close kissing her forehead.

I ran into the bus. I sat in my seat and spread out the blanket and sat on my seat. Ricky sat next to me.

"Why can't we talk right now?"
"I rather talk in private then on a bus with a bunch of people on it," I told him
He nodded I put the blanket on him. He wrapped his arm around me I snuggled into his side.

I put my head on his chest. He put his head on mine. We both started to fall asleep in each others arms
