Chapter seven

I wake up to the bright sun shining rough a large window in front of me, a dull ache in the back of my head.

As I slowly wake up I notice that I am on a large bed, a comfy bed, that I was defiantly not on before. I turn my head to look around the room and come face to face with the red eyes that once plagued my thoughts. I jump back in surprise almost falling of the edge of the bed if not for the cold grasp around my wrist the stops me from falling I look at demetri slightly embarrassed "Are you alright?" His voice fills the room as he looks at me carefully. I nod unable to find proper words and he lets me go.

We sat in silence until I spoke " This is all so strange isn't it?" I say as I look up at him to see his head tilt slightly in confusion "Yes, I can see how this may be quite a lot to take in for a human."

"I have a question?" I needed to know why I felt so strange around him. Why i wasn't scared? What would happen to me in the future?

"I am happy to provide any answers you need." He reaches for my hand but decides to keep his distance for the moment which I appreciated and brings his hands in front of him.

I think for a moment trying to figure out what to ask first. "Well I need to know first. Why do I feel so comfortable around you when I know I should be absolutely terrified and definitely should be trying to run out that door right now?" I say as I point to the large door behind him. "Also where are the others?"

"Well to put it simply we are soulmates all vampires have them some wait centuries to meet them as have I with you we are made for each other. You may here it referred to as La tue cantante or blood singer. Your blood appeals to me in a way that no other does but I would also never wish to harm you in any way and the others have returned to America per Master Aros's request."

I nodded as I processed the information. "Are there any other questions" demetri asks and as I open my mouth to speak there is a loud knock on the door demetri speeds over to answer it and I see the tall vampire from earlier stood at the door grinning down at demetri "Sorry to interrupt but the master Aro wishes to speak to you both now that Sofia is awake." Demetri nods and approaches me he holds out a hand as I take it he leads me out of the room and down the large marble halls of the castle.

As we approach the doors I squeeze demetri's hand lightly for comfort he then pulls me slightly closer to him as the vampire I now know is called Felix opens the doors and we step forward into the throne room where we are met by the strong smell of cleaning products and a faint smell of blood which makes me shiver slightly as I look at the three kings I see the blonde look at me and noticing my discomfort he smirks slightly and I look away.

"Ah! Demetri and young Sofia! How wonderful to see you both" Aro speaks overly cheerfully before stepping closer towards us Demetri pulls me slightly closer as he approaches but Aro still comes closer where he takes my other hand in his. "Aro can read every thought and see every memory you've ever had" demetri whispers in my ear.

"I see demetri has told you why you are here." I nodded at Aro slightly. "Well that's wonderful but there is still one topic that is oh so important. When will young Sofia be joining us properly?" Aro looks to demetri waiting for an answer.

"With all respect master Aro I wanted to give Sofia some time to process everything and for time for her to feel comfortable as she has only just arrived."

"I see well then I give you a week and by then she must be changed or I will do it myself." I gasp and Demetri bows his head to Aro in agreement whilst I stand in shock.

"Now return Sofia to your room Demetri as I'm sure this must be a lot for her." He gestures to the door behind us and Demetri leads us back to his room.

Once inside he stays by the door "I will leave you for now but please do not leave this room. For your own safety." And with that he walked out of the room closing the door behind him. As I sit in silence I have one thought in my head.

I have to get out of here....
