I strutted in, chest held high. I owned the place, and had the leeway of being the principal's son. Even if he had little tolerance for me and my troublemaking, the other teachers were cautious in taking action about me. And it didn't matter that I was a flaming fucking homo. Most students were accepting and LGBTQ+ themselves, or too intimidated to make any rude comment about me anyways. After I had came out, yet still retained a reputation, it gave others the courage to do the same. I was a little proud of myself, allowing kids this safe haven to be themselves if home couldn't be that place.

As of now, it was Friday morning. Which could only mean one thing.

“Kellin! Me and the guys are going out tonight.” Oli winked at me.

“Sweet, what time? Where?” I leaned on Oli as he put his arm around my shoulder. They were widely shipped across the school, when in reality they were more just fuck buddies.

“Eight thirty, the park. Bring a mask.”

“You mean Jack Louis Park?” I scoffed a bit.

Oli nodded. “Apparently the owner is a huge homophobe, and kicked two girls holding hands out. So we're gonna write some gay shit on the walls with spray paint.”

I snorted. “I'm so quoting The Picture of Dorian Gray.”

Oli rolled his eyes, patting my shoulder. “Okay bookworm, see you tonight.” He turned into first hour.

“See you tonight.”

“Jordan and Jack, you do that wall, Alex and Rian, get that one. Kellin and I will get this one,” Oli instructed the group.

The two groups nodded and dispersed, running off in the dark while Oli turned to me. He threw me a few different colored spray paints. “Do your worst.”

“Oh I will.” I smiled and shook the bottle and started writing quotes. Some from The Picture of Dorian Gray, others supportive LGBTQ+. I grabbed another bottle to start my fifth quote, when I heard Jordan running over.

“The cops!” He whisper shouted to us.

“Shit!” Oli threw the paints in his duffle bag. “Did the other guys get away?” Jordan nodded, and the three of us took off at the sight of flashlights and police officers shouting.

We turned corners, tried to get out, but everywhere we went cops were searching.

“Climb the gate, I'll help you guys up,” I offered. I didn't care if I was caught. I would say how the owner deserved it, even if that didn't get me anywhere. And either way I was more focused on my friends getting out of there safe; they were good kids, they didn't need or deserve that on their plate.

I laid my hands out, Jordan and Oli propped themselves up and rushed over the gate.

“Come on!” They ushered me. I could hear the police nearing.

“Just go!” I hissed. “You'll get caught too and it'll be a waste.”

Reluctantly, they rushed off while I jumped from the gate and turned to face the police officers.

“Jesus,” I said when they shined the flashlight in my eyes. “It's just me guys, your good ol pal Kellin.”

They all sighed, walking up to me, when I noticed a new face.

“Oh, a new one?” I stopped at his badge. “What happened to Sheriff Biersack?”

Officer Jeremy sighed, walking over and putting me in my favorite handcuffs, the rusty ones. I smiled. “Moved. Its Sheriff Fuentes now.”

“Aw, but he was Sheriff Woody. Ashley, what're you gonna do? What's Buzz without his Woody? Oh, no, it's Toy Story 4,” my face fell.

“Lets get you to the station,” Officer Jake mumbled and pushed me in the car.

Alright
