the inside of my mouth is dying

"Tell me about your boyfriend."
All these fucking school therapists wanted to know about was my sweet old boyfriend Vic. I knew their tricks, thinking I would go into detail about my boyfriend as I "love him so much" and open up.
I love to see their frustrated faces when they realize I'm not gullible.
Boarding school was terrible. Stricter rules, annoying students and teachers, there were homophobes here, oh, and you take therapy. It's ridiculous and I'm counting the days till I leave.
"He's cool," I muttered dryly.
"What's he like-"
"He's great, okay? And none of your fucking buisiness. Let's save both our time and end this session," I snapped. I didn't wait for a response and stood, briskly leaving the room and rushing back to my dorm.
I shared a room with a kid named Gabe. He was nerdy, to say the least, but we shared similiar interests and his company was enjoyable. If he wasn't in the room listening to music he was probably out studying or getting food. He was the closest thing to a friend I had there.
Your phone's were only permitted from five to nine, so I could barely talk to Vic or my friends. I was giving my parents and Vic the silent treatment though; not answering their calls or texts. It was their fault I was in a place I didn't need to be, and I was angry.
I caved easily, though. It was Vic, I couldn't resist his worried voice and cute face. I wish I could kiss it again, curl up in his arms in contentment.
So Friday afternoon, marking my first week there, I answered Vic's skype call.
"You answered," Vic sighed, his face showing through the screen.
"That I did."
"How are you? How's your first week been?" Vic asked.
I shrugged. "I miss you, like a lot," I said passive aggresively.
"It'll just be for a few weeks, we'll see each other soon, okay?" Vic confirmed softly.
"I know, I just.. I don't need help," I murmured.
"Yes you do."
"Yeah well you did a better job than old men that don't give a fuck!" I hissed. But he didn't give a fuck either, did he? "I'm sorry, no, no you're right. You gave up on me and threw me to someone else. I'll talk to you later." I slammed the laptop shut with a sigh and ran a hand through my hair.
I was cranky and nervous lately. Usually I would've gotten over this easily, at least when it came to Vic. But everytime I looked at the calendar things became just a bit more intense.
Twenty days.
