I still had it stuck in my head. "I fucking love you." I said I loved him too. It's true, I just hadn't realized it till he said it.
I love Kellin.
I love him, I'm in love with him, all the same. I love seeing his smile, hearing his laugh, wrapping my arms around him, eating breakfast on Saturday mornings with him, throwing eggs in his hair, sitting on that mountain.
My heart was completely devoted to him.
"Vic!" Jaime whined, pulling me from my day dream.
"Sorry, sorry," I said with a chuckle. "So what was it you wanted to talk about?"
Last night Jaime had appeared at my doorstep in tears, unable to explain what was happening. I let him spend the night, and now we sat at the park.
"Um.. My parents kicked me out," he explained quietly, lowering his voice further as he said, "Because I came out."
"Fuck, Jaime. And you came here?"
"Duh," he shrugged. "I'm sorry, I just didn't know where to go and-" his voice broke as he continued.
"Hey, it's okay." I took his hand. "You can stay at mine as long as you need. I can help find a job, if you want."
"Thank you."
It was silent, my hand still in his. I couldn't tell if the silence was awkward or peaceful, but before I could say anything more Jaime was looking at me and leaning in.
The whole thing was terrible; his lips on my own while I sat in shock. It took me awhile, more long than I'd like, to process what was happening. And by then I already felt disgusting, my thoughts hung up on Kellin.
"Woah woah woah, calm down." I pushed Jaime away, wiping my mouth. "I don't think of you that way, I have a boyfriend."
"Oh, fuck, I'm so sorry," Jaime sputtered. "That was so stupid, I didn't mean to ruin anything."
"You didn't know, it's okay. Just uh, careful next time."
I thought that was it, I had explained it to Jaime and I'd tell Kellin later, but apparently I didn't have to.
Standing by a tree, feet away from us, was Kellin, my Kellin, choking on sobs at the sight of us.
"Oh my god, Kellin!" He raced off.

"The person you are trying to reach-" I sighed and set the phone down. Six missed calls and three unread texts of mine trying to explain what happened.
I jumped at the sound of my ringtone, but instead of Kellin's name displayed on screen it was his mother.
"Mrs. Bostwick? What is it? Has Kellin said anything to you?" I had already told them the situation and they'd been trying to reach the unresponsive Kellin.
"I think I know where Kellin is, but you need to find him quickly."
