Sam was in a empty grassy field where the sun was shining brightly with tiny lights fluttering above, towards the sky. What are these lights? As I was distracted looking up at the sky watching the fluttering lights I lowered my head to see a blurred figure straight ahead. As the blurred figure got closer I saw red. As I shut my eyes and re opened them, my eyes readjusted themselves and regained focus from the sun and the tiny fluttering lights, the blur became clear. I see long red hair cascading over her shoulders, tan skin, bare feet, a white sun dress as the light breeze blew through her hair but Sam couldn't see a face. "Cat?" Sam asks in a whisper. As Sam closed her eyes for an instant, the next thing she knew as she opened her eyes was that she wasn't in her view anymore, she was beside her whispering something in her ear "Wake up, wake up, wake up."

"Wake up, wake up, wake up." Sam heard a faint voice say. Sam was startled by a hand on her shoulder. She was about to attack when she turned around and noticed it was Carly. "Hey, it's me" Carly said before Sam could twist her arm and put her in a head lock. "Sorry, it's a reflex" Sam reply's sheepishly as she readjusts herself in her seat and crossed her arms still thinking about the dream she had. Carly who was standing grabbed Sam's wrist and lightly tugged her towards the sofa by the window. Sam got up and makes her way to where Carly is motioning her to sit. They sat on the couch, Sam had her elbows on her thighs and her hands crossing on top of each other by the wrist and Carly doing the same but her body towards Sam so her hands could be touching hers and her fingers playing with Sam's and Sam just let her. "Talk to me, be honest with me, what's going on with you?" Carly said being straight forward with Sam not like in Seattle when she would go around the bushes before going straight to the point.

Sam stayed quiet "What are you talking about?" Sam tried to play it cool, like always trying to avoid confrontation about her feelings.

"Come on Sam, I wanna talk about you, I wanna talk about how you're feeling. We promised. You, Freddie, and I promised no more secrets between us. Freddie told me how you completely changed ever since the motorcycle accident." Carly says and Sam retorts

"Yeah, well Freddie's got a big mouth."

"Did he lie? He cares about you. I care about you. It's clearly evident, you've lost weight, you're not eating like you usually do, you're keeping clean, you're doing your home work, you're finally keeping out of trouble, you're a MMA fighter, you're always cooped up in this room. This is a different Sam I'm seeing in front of me. Talk to me, you're my best friend and I'm yours. You know you can trust me, I've told you many times I'll be here for you if you let me and I'm trying to be but you're not letting me in."

Carly said as Sam remained with her head low, letting Carly hold her fingers with her own. "I... I haven't changed, I'm still me...." Sam said softly.

"What happened?" Carly asked softly.

Sam finally looked up straight into Carly's eyes and looked back down again knowing that if she looked at her she wouldn't be able to tell her. "So... I...I.. Cat and I got into and argument, she was upset and claimed that I stole her friend Jade from her. She would make these remarks about how we never invited her and maybe it was a little true but I had finally made a friend here in LA that has the same interests as me and hasn't been to juvie. I was staying out of trouble. Cat got jealous and called Freddie to visit so she could make me jealous." Sam said.

"Did it work?" Carly asked interrupting her.

"Uuhhh...yeah it did." Sam answered shyly.
