Sam was sitting on the couch next to Carly coming out of her shock. She checked the time on her pear phone and realized it was almost time to get ready. She texted Dice to see if he could get her more tickets to the fight. Like always, Dice came through with the extra tickets.

Sam looked up at Carly who was still in her haze. "Melanie, trade spots with me." Melanie did as told.

"Where are you going?" Carly asked slowly coming out of her shock.

"The room. I'll be back." Sam said as she shot Jade a text before she left to the room:

Sam 🍗: You down to see the fight?

Jade 🤙🏼: Wouldn't miss it, what kind girl do you take me for? By any chance do you have an extra ticket for Tori?

Sam 🍗: Sorry, I gave my last ticket to  Melanie.

Jade 🤙🏼: U need a ride?

Sam 🍗: Nah, but thanks for the offer

Jade 🤙🏼: np

Sam got distracted texting that when she focused on the conversation happening around her she heard Carly talking. "No Freddie, he got bullied so badly that it pushed him to burn his bullies alive in a classroom." Freddie was left speechless. "Oh my." Melanie was surprised. "Exactly, and he didn't go to jail but to a mental hospital where he was eventually discharged from and was able to go home where he would at times physically abuse Cat." Carly continued. "Poor girl." Freddie said sympathetically. "Awe, Cat is such a sweet heart, she didn't deserve that. My heart feels for her." Melanie said. "She did deserve better, especially because her parents let it happen." Carly said.

Sam felt slight rage and sympathy for Cat. She decided to head to the room and finish packing her gym bag. Sam walked out of the room and stood beside the blue sofa with her gym bag. "You guys ready to go?" Freddie asked as he looked up at Sam. "Oh, I completely forgot about your fight" Carly said. "Yeah, I'm ready, let's go." Melanie pipped up.

The group arrive and Sam found herself meeting with up Jade. Once they enter the building Sam makes her way to Dice leaving the group behind. After the a relay of information from Dice as her manager,  Sam went back for Carly and Jade who accompanied her to the change room. "So, when is your fight?" Jade asked. "My fight is the last of the prelims (the eighth), then start the main fights. Goomer's fight vs Bartolo Zukasi is the main event (the sixth) since last fight he beat John Zakappa for the lightweight championship title." Sam answered in detail. "Dude, I remember that fight, it was amazing!" Jade said excitedly. "Who are you fighting against?" Carly asked. Jade turned to Carly and gave her an incredulous look "She's fighting Alina Tanaski. Also a new fighter like Sam; But Alina has had three fights and in her last fight she beat Kacey Montgomery for the flyweight championship title, so now she believes she's a big shot. Just wait till Sam beats the crap out of her, and that's with Sam only having two fights of experience, this being her third." Jade said proudly. "Oh," Carly was shocked and a bit uneasy at the revelation but she was confident Sam would win knowing the extent to Sam's strength. Sam smiled proudly at Jade and gave her a fist bump. "How are you feeling about this fight?" Carly asked looking towards Sam, watching as Sam put on her sweat suit over her spandex shorts and sports bra. "Eh, I'm unfazed." Sam replied nonchalantly as they made their way back to Freddie, Melanie, Goomer, and Dice. Lucky for them, since Sam and Goomer were fighting they had front row seats. They sat and watched all four fights. Sam decided to start warming up in the change room during the fifth fight.

Sam was sitting on the bench, distracting herself on her phone to get in the zone for her fight. Accidentally pressing her saved files app instead of the music app. She saw the video that Jade had sent her two months ago. Sam pressed play and watched it all unfold again. She felt consumed by different emotions, but mostly rage. What a coincidence, she got exactly the motivation she needed to fight.
