Opening his eyes, Pilo found himself in the spirit realm. Surrounded in solid white, he noticed nothing but the brown eyes staring back at him. Seeing Demini before him felt like a gift from heaven. Pulling them both into the spirit realm came to him as a surprised. Ignorant to his own powers, Pilo thought bringing someone with him during a ghost walk would be impossible. In the past he had attempted to bring things with him into the spirit realm, but had failed. He welcomed the shock as it washed away the grief he began to accept.
"Is this the spirit realm," she asked.
"Yes," he answered. "During the day, the sunlight washes out everything." Unable to hold back his feelings, he pushed his lips into hers with delicate force.
"How," she asked when they took a break from bathing in each other's energy.
"I'm not sure...Emotion? An inability to doubt myself? I don't know."
"Can I get back?"
"I sure hope so...I mean, it has to be possible. We'll just work on it when the night sets in."
"This is amazing."
"Sunlight is amplified in here. At least at night, you can see the form of the surfaces around us...We'll move away from here before they bring in Ghost Walkers. If I can find us an area shielded from light we can work on getting you out, but we'll be limited to where my bat can fly us."
"Light Witch first?"
"Yeah, I'd like to talk to her about the coven before we visit with Chloria."
"You mean, High Priestess," she said with sarcasm. "I'm pretty sure they don't know that Jarus is being compelled by Ladieta...I can't believe this. We shut her down, and she comes back more powerful than when we left."
"Not for long...She messed up revealing herself. Her confidence will be her weakness."
"We need to take her with more caution. She's prepared for this, and got the best of us once...Almost took my life."
"Let's move closer to the Capitol building."
Under concentration, Pilo linked with his bat. In the corner of the lobby, the bat found shelter for the moment. Escaping the room didn't come without complications. Luckily the men still held the door open when the bat exited the spirit realm. It flew through the crowd, and down the hallway before any of the men could land an attack. When the front door opened, Pilo commanded the bat to escape outside. Grabbing a hold of Demini, they flew through the walls and outside the building, leaving the threat behind.
Beneath the under hang of one of the large buildings, around the main square, in front of the Capitol building, the bat found a dark place to rest. Among the white surface, the lovers found a spot to wait out the day. Hours passed by as they rested. During the night, it is easy to tell the visual limitations of the spirit realm, but the day brought difficulty. A Ghostwalker emerged from out of the surrounding light, bringing alarm to Pilo when it caught his eye. Springing to his feet, he prepared to attack.
Walking through the white nothingness, the Ghost Walker lost himself in his worries. Having Pilo leap from out of nowhere, caused every muscle in Austesh's body to tense. His eyes bugged out of his skull, and he lost his breath. Thinking he would be alone in the realm, Austesh never expected to run into someone else, especially a vampire. Dropping to his knees, he shielded his head from attack, not knowing what else to do.
"Please," Austesh yelled out. When he didn't feel any pain come to his body, he uncovered his eyes to find Demini and Pilo standing over him.
"What are we going to do with you," Demini asked.
