How much of a stranger loneliness had been, revealed itself in the spirit realm. Playing weak, Demini allowed the witch to carry her off. Once they were away from the ground, and out of view, she knew it wouldn't be a wise choice to struggle out of the woman's grip. Pilo had warned her about the dangers in being forced down into the surface. Reaching her destination, the witch lowered them down. Playing a victim, Demini waited until the witch placed her on solid ground. Able to gain a footing, she exposed her fangs, and clamped onto the woman's neck harder than she had ever bitten someone. When her teeth touched each other, she backed up, spit out the chunk of flesh, and watched the witch collapse.
Wiping away the blood from her mouth, Demini turned in a circle. Surrounded in nothing but white, she felt a drowning feeling. Trembles consumed her body while she stumbled around in search of anything of substance. Falling to her knees she curled into a ball, and closed her eyes. Inside her mind she found familiarity. Escaping the horror of her environment, she took a minute to soothe herself inside her thoughts. Keeping her eyes closed, she centered herself, to calm the beast of worrying.
Rage distracted her, but as its fuel ran out, she knew she had to get away. Standing up, she stepped back toward where they flew from, and quickly found the ledge of the cliff. In the white nothingness, she rolled down the hill, coming to a stop, after a long tumble to the bottom. Pulling herself out of the surface, she ran back in the direction where she had been taken. While flying to their destination, Demini payed attention to any movements, and tried to track the distance and direction they came from. Using her memories, and judgment the best she could, Demini tried to back track to where she had last seen Pilo. After a while of running in the blanket of whiteness, worry of not getting anywhere consumed her. Nothing around her showed signs of progression. Even though her feet were moving, the scenery didn't change, and she felt as if she ran in place.
Collecting her thoughts took a minute, but she found peace inside her thoughts. Thoughts of Pilo pushed fear to the outskirts of her mind. Nothing could keep her away from him, and staying in one place couldn't get her to him any faster. Even though it didn't feel like it worked, putting her feet in motion would be the only option.
During her walk there were times she felt the ground change direction. When her step to the ground became shorter, a feeling of walking up a hill came over her. The change in surface direction helped remind her of the existence of the real world just on the other side. Remembering the real world helped calm her, and keep her away from her anxiety. Everything progressed successfully until she thought about walking off a cliff. If she fell from a high distance again, there is a great possibility of getting buried deep in the ground. Luckily the last time she fell, the drop off came at an angle. Using more caution, she walked slower and always tested her next step. At this pace, it would take a long time to get back to Pilo's location. Staying away from fear is difficult in the spirit realm when you're alone with no connection to the worldly plane. From time to time, Demini would take a seat to gather her thoughts, and center herself before she drove herself crazy.
Over time, the sun began to set, and the darkness brought shapes to the world around her. Being able to faintly see the other plane, allowed her to move without fear of falling. Trees were the only thing she could see around her. Deep in the forest it would be difficult to find her way. Walking in one direction, the ground became brighter, and she lost the ability to see shapes. Figuring out she was walking toward the sun, she began to figure out her location. Putting the complete whiteness behind her right hip, she now knew she would at least be walking in the correct direction; the correct angle would be a different story. Walking further from the sun, the area grew pitch black, and her visual bubble around her became clearly defined. Without stopping she kept walking until she reached a clearing in the trees. Keeping close to the edge of the trees, she walked around the opening until she located a pathway. Following the pathway away from the trees, it led her to the cabin in the woods, where she had been taken away from her partner. Looking at the cabin, standing before her, brought a warm sensation over her, and brought a smile to her face.
