A woman stepped toward Demini, against her free will, and met her demise. Demini reached behind the woman, grabbed her by the hair, and yanked her neck down before snapping it back up. The quick movement broke the woman's neck, leaving her paralyzed, and she dangled in Demini's grasp. Exposing her fangs, Demini sunk them into the woman's neck, then took in as much blood into her mouth as she could before having to break away.
"You see, Ladieta," said Demini. "You underestimated me for the last time. You think by surrounding yourself with all these people, it's going to somehow shield you from what you've got coming to you. You've never been so wrong." Demini then proceeded to use her supernatural strength to disembowel, and rip the throats out of the people standing in her way.
Blood hit Ladieta in the face, and the warm sensation put her in motion. Ladieta backed into the smugglers tunnel in the back of the room, while a pack of people shuffled along in front of her. Seeing Ladieta disappear around the corner, Demini moved into the spiritual realm, to quickly get inside the tunnel. Once inside the tunnel, she found Ladieta's obstacles to help keep her safe. Attached to the arching brick tunnel were wooden stakes from the floor to the ceiling. The stakes didn't give Demini enough room to exit the spirit realm without finding a stake inside of her. There was only one way to get to Ladieta, and it would be through the people pointing stakes at her, while walking backwards. Distracted, Demini found herself pierced from behind by a wooden stake. In a rush, the compelled person missed any vital parts of Demini and only stabbed her in the back of the shoulder. Twisting and pulling the stake with her, Demini kicked her attacker back into the crowd, making room for her to catch her thoughts.
Within the Light Witch's barricade, the Council didn't give Bynan's soldiers enough time to acknowledge what was happening. Once their fangs were exposed, the thirst cursed, leapt into action, attacking the soldiers. The men's yells and screams distracted the soldiers outside the gate. While they looked over their shoulders to what was happening inside the gate, the vampires in the street began charging. Some of the soldiers weren't completely distracted and fired their shots, wounding some of the threat. In close combat the soldiers moved to sword combat to defend themselves from the cursed. Driving a wedge in between the soldiers, the vampires began separating the men's ranks, and quickly overwhelmed them. Outside the gate, the ranks were being pushed back into the gate, causing an ineffectiveness to a majority of their force.
Through all the commotion, a sound echoed throughout the city, grabbing everyone's attention. Combined howls let everyone know there was a larger threat closer than they all realized. Pouncing on the rooftops of two houses below the street, at the bottom of the hill, the werewolves stared at the crowd above them. Moonlight hit their back, hiding their features in the shadows, but there size was undeniable. Therion led the way, and Yasmina followed shortly behind.
Vampires in the rear of the attack turned to face the new threat. Drunk on power, and never having confronted a werewolf before, the vampires thought they were an even match for the two beasts. They soon found out how wrong they were. The wolves tore through the vampires with ease. Using their claws, the wolves would tear and rip the dead hearts right from the chests of their victims. Taking prey in their jaws, they would snap the bodies, leaving them inoperable.
The attack began to distract the other vampires attacking the soldiers. When they took their attention from the soldiers, and put it on the wolves, it gave the soldiers opportunities to make deathly blows themselves. Ash began falling as the soldiers drove stakes into the chests of their attackers. Caught in between two threats, the vampires outside the gates decided to regroup and retreat back into the city. Using their speed, the vampire's threat quickly dispersed. Therion snapped down hard with his fangs, barely missing one of the last retreating vampires. He let out a howl, and the soldiers began cheering. Dropping down on all fours, Therion turned toward the soldiers, and they didn't hesitate to go silent. Slamming a soldier into the gate let the soldiers know the werewolves weren't on their side either. The attack on the soldier sent the others scattering, trying to escape an attack from the two massive beasts. Many weren't lucky, and found the same fate as the vampires, thinking it was a good idea to bring the attack to the wolves.
