The Friend Rejection

This happened to me around the age of seven or eight.

You know how it is as a kid, you aren't officially friends with someone till you ask, right?

Well there was the boy, really really cute boy, in my mind (and to be fair, he is still smoking).

But yeah, we were playing tag in my churches parking lot.

Everything was going fine and dandy, we were all having a good ole time, running around, having fun.

When everyone started going inside I went up to this boy - his name was Jake - and I was like.

"Hey Jake! You wanna be my friend!"

And then he was like, "Sure!"

So everything was good, my family and I went home, but when we came back that night Jake came up to me with a sad look on his face.

He said "Anna, I can't be friends with you anymore, I don't want to be friends with a girl."

And then he proceeded to walk out that door and play tag, while my seven year old heart was breaking.

Sorry it took me so long to update guys! I just hadn't had a lot of stories. But this is just one from my childhood.

Jake, the guy in the story. Well he is literally one of the hottest guys I know now, so I wasn't misguided with the whole 'cute' thing ;)
