7. Stranger Alert!

Bangalore is a great city. It's a shame that I don't have enough time to explore the city. I literally had to beg on the phone call with my Bangalore friends. They have all right to shout since I'm leaving Bangalore without meeting any of them. It's not like I don't want to meet them, but my schedule is really tight. My flight was scheduled the same night after the meeting. So I'm genuinely left with no option other than not meeting them.
The meeting was wonderful. Since the project was really important, I wasn't ready to compromise on anything. That's why I decided upon a pinstripe cropped wide leg pant and a white puff shoulder long sleeve tee. And it was professional and yet more comfortable than a suit. The meeting was scheduled at our Bangalore office. Only thing I felt weird about was the main project leader wasn't there as he had to run some errands. The board wasn't much happy about the absence of Mr Bhanushali. After all, this is a big project. But thankfully, they were all impressed with my presentation. So we still have the project in our hands. 

My Friends back there in Mumbai are very restless. Since the time I landed in Bangalore, I have been getting one call per hour. I literally switched off my phone before I entered the conference hall due to the same reason. 

Around 4 O'clock I finished with my duty. By that time I was really exhausted. Since the flight was at midnight, I decided to take a little nap in my room. So soon after the meeting, I went to my hotel. The nap was soothing and refreshing. Soon after a light dinner, I got ready and left to the airport.

It's past 3.30 AM and I've finally boarded the flight. The flight got delayed and I have to spend more than three hours at the airport. Maybe that made me too much exhausted that I slept soon after the flight took off.

I woke up with a startle. An hour is gone since the flight took off. Almost an hour is left to land in Mumbai. So once again I made myself comfortable to the current position to take one more nap. I was exhausted to notice anything else. When I wiped my mouth, I realised that I'm resting my head on someone's shoulder. Whoever it is, I was drooling over that person in my sleep. I felt like giving myself a hard slap for this mistake. I slowly raised my head since I can't rest it there forever. I realised I have totally embarrassed myself with this action. The least I could do is say sorry. But I'm too much embarrassed...

"Had a good nap?" A male voice shattered my thoughts. Now I have to face that man..... Oh, God... Please help me! With a smile plastered on my face, I turned towards the man sitting right next to me...

I'm now too flustered. He is really handsome. The broad shoulders and a tight shirt definitely indicates that he has a great body. Even though his eyes are dark brown, they are shining. He could definitely be a model! What's wrong with me! Now I'm gawking at him! How much more is there for me to embarrass myself! I gave myself a face slap in my head. Say something, Sam! I reminded myself...

"I had a good nap..." He nodded his head with a smile. "And I'm really sorry about this..." I added as I pointed towards the wetness in his shoulders. The part where I had a good nap in his shoulders. He chuckled a bit shaking his head. "It's okay miss... You must be really tired with all the delay..." He smiled with an understanding expression. "You could say that..." Now I'm also smiling. That wasn't too bad... We fall into a compassionate silence. I spoke up after a while...
"Aren't you tired?" I turned my face to him. He shook his head in denial. "I travel a lot. So I'm kind of used to it..." I nodded again. With that, we again fall back to the silence. "Do you want to take one more nap?" This time he broke the silence. "I don't mind!" He pointed towards his shoulder. Wow! Now that was unexpected! "No thanks... I'm fine now..." I gave him a huge smile. "If you say so..." He went back to the book he has been reading. I took a magazine from the front pouch. In the rush, I really forgot to pack a book. So now I have to pass my time with this. Surprisingly, for the rest of the flight, none of us cared to break the silence...

After an almost two hours long flight, I finally landed in Mumbai. I found myself a bit relaxed with the Mumbai atmosphere. Even though it was only for a day, it really felt good to be back. It's past 5.30 in the morning. I made my way to the prepaid taxi counter as I need a cab to reach home. The queue was pretty long as it was early morning. Sanky won't be coming to pick me up as I told him not to come. He is doing so much for me. Sometimes he has to take care of himself too. So I ordered him to stay home. But I have to inform them that I landed here. I took my phone out and unlocked it. The queue is moving pretty fast. By the time I finished my call with Anjali, I reached near the front. Then only I realised that the man standing in front of me has been standing there for a while now. He is holding back the queue. I tried to look past to know the issue. The man is looking like he is searching for something. It's been a while, so I thought to enquire.

"Excuse me sir, I'm sorry but you have been holding the queue for a while now!" I said as I tried to get a glimpse of his face. Since he was standing backwards towards me, I couldn't see his face.
"I'm really sorry. I can't find my wallet!" He turned towards me still teaching for his wallet. I was surprised to see the face. It's him! The victim of my drooling attack! He hasn't seen me yet as he was still searching for his wallet. So I cleared my throat...
"Hi again!" I greeted him with the same smile... It is evident from his surprised face that he recognized me too. "Oh, you again!" There is a surprised smile at his face too. Since we don't have time to have a conversation, I decided to get straight to the point.
"May I know where you are heading to?" I asked him with my brows raised. He might not expect this question since he was taken aback. But after a few seconds, he handed me his phone. There is the address of his destination. As I scanned the address I found that it's on my way. So maybe I could give him a lift. It's the best way to say sorry for my earlier mistake. Giving his phone back to him, I put forward the idea...
"Listen, the place is on my way. So I can definitely drop you there..."
But he shook his head... "No...no... You don't have to worry... I will manage!"
I'm not ready to give up the idea, because I won't be able to sleep peacefully thinking about the incident...
"It's seriously not an issue. Please accept, because it's the least I could do after drooling over your shoulder..." I said with a puppy face. He took some time to think about it. By the time I paid for the cab turned back, he is waiting for me.
"Fine... If it makes you relieved, then let's go!" A genuine smile creeped into my lips.
"Samvruta..." I extended my hands to him. As he took my hands to shake, the reply came... "Ved!"
