1. The Wedding

It's a very special day in Samvruta's life. Samvruta Johar, The perfect girl next door in stories. Or the goody two shoes every parents just love. Samvruta, a.k.a Sam, as her friends call her. She is that girl we often only see in movies or read in stories. The girl who is friends with everyone... The girl whom everyone wants to friends with... Samvruta is the definition of perfection. The perfect daughter, the perfect sister, the perfect friend... And on now to the path of being the perfect wife. To simplify, Samvruta Johar is the brand ambassador of perfection! It is normal to doubt that if the perfection marketing is just a facade. But she can even turn those doubts into admiration with her kindness. Just like the way she agreed to an arranged marriage, without even thinking twice, for her parents happiness.

Wedding day is indeed very special for any girl. And so is for Sam. She is happy because all her dearest loved ones are happy. Samvruta's happiness meter is that. For her nothing else matters. If someone is happy with her small sacrifices, that's what makes Sam's life meaningful. Just like what she did now... Agreeing for a marriage to see her parents happy faces. And for now that's enough for her. That one smile can solve every other problem in her life. Just like she always believes in. That every small step we ever took will going to lead us to happy endings that we never ever even imagined. And like the old saying goes, 'everything is well that ends well...' That hope is enough for now. With time, everything else will turn around itself.

Tough Samvruta never thought her marriage will happen like this. An arranged marriage! It wasn't something she was preparing herself for. A total unexpected twist. That'show one can describe this turn of event in her life. Independent... That'show she defined herself... And that'sonly how she wanted to be defined. And if it is in her stars, then find the one too. Like the super cheesy romance... When it comes to love, she wanted all of it. From the meet cute to the sizzling happily ever after. As a vivid reader, Samvruta have manifested so many stories for herself. Her basket is full of romance for someone who badly needs it. She never went on a mission to find love. Because, according to Samvruta's theory on life, it will find you if it is really made for you! But nothing as such have come over her way yet. But that doesn't weaken her beliefs. She still believes in love, just like she always did. The one with all the sugary things.

But not everything happens the way we planned. Though Samvruta wanted a romance that had everything, she too decided to go with the arranged marriage way when the time came. Losing faith in romance was never the reason. Ironically, the reason again was love. Sam loved her parents more than anything in the world. Disappointing her parents was her biggest fear. The current path Sam choosed instead of her ideal romance was the same her parents thought was ideal. And like it established before, she is the perfect daughter. So Samvruta couldn't say no to her father. To their perfect daughter, they never asked for anything. It's the first time that Samvruta's father is asking for something from her. And it is the same reason why Sam couldn'refuse them. She couldn't turn down the flame even before it started to light up.

Patents always plan best for their child. And Samvruta knew, even her parents never do or decide anything that isn't good for her. Whatever be the decision, they will never think something that is harmful for her. Samvruta realised it even better when she finally met her parents choice, Arjun! He was the best choice her parents could have ever made for her. And Arjun, her husband to be, is a gentleman. A quality she admires in men. A quality she always wanted in her partner. Though that's not just the only quality he has. For starters, he good looking. To say it nicely, he is handsome. Definitely a treat for the eyes. The second quality is his caring nature. He know how to take care of his loved ones. And last but not the least, as the most sexiest quality Sam consider, Arjun know how to respect his partner. In every interaction they ever had, Sam always admired this amazing quality that Arjun possess. And that gave her a sense of security. That may whatever happens in the future, Arjun will never hurt her, at least not intentionally.

She looked at herself in the mirror. She looks beautiful in the bridal attire. But for whom? She share a great bond with Arjun. But it never crossed friendship. And now they are going tie the knot. Both are doing this for their families. But what about her and Arjun? Will they be happy together?

Sam was lost in thoughts that she didn't notice when someone entered her room. It was a man in his late twenties. He came close to Sam and hugged her from behind.

Man : I'm so happy for you yaar...

The sudden hug made her come back to her senses. A small smile came on her lips when she saw the man. She turned to face him.

Sam : I know.. I know... There won't be anybody else who is as happy as you Sanskar!

Sanskar : Well I'm glad that you realise I'm the happiest person in the world for you...
But I'm kind of jealous now!

Sam : (in a kiddish tone) Sanky baccha jealous ho!!! But why?? ( While pulling his cheeks )

Sanskar : You do realise that after the marriage you are going to have a 24hr friend cum life partner!!
What about me then... I will out from life forever!!!

A small smile peeped into face. You know Sanskar is trying to make you feel better. And he is the only one who could do that. Your best friend! In the last 6 years, he is the best thing ever happened to you. Sanskar has always been by your side. And you know, he will be by your side for your whole life!! And cutting him off from your life is like killing yourself!

Still Sam decides to tease him a little.

Sam : Haan... So what! It's a good thing.. For a successful married life, you should make your partner your best friend!

Sanskar : I knew it! I knew it that you are flipper... Fine, do whatever you want to do... I'm going...

Sam : (immediately wrapped him in a hug)
Tu pagal hai!!! How can I cut you off from my life! You know I can't live without you!!

Sanskar : (reciprocating the hug while grinning) I know !!!
And you know what, you are not the only one to know how to tease people!!!

By saying this, he started to laugh. It made Sam angry enough to start punching his shoulders... But soon she also joined him in the laughter. Little did she know her life is not going to a bed roses like she thought it would be!!!
