I woke up to see Eren in snug jeans and a gray long sleeved shirt. The top two buttons were undone exposing his tan chest and I smiled. He looked beautiful standing in the sunlight streaming through the window. With all the arguing that happened with Eren all those months ago and the painful depression my family had to witness me push through, it all led to this moment. When I could look at the love of my life and see his beautiful smile as his gaze fixed on me.

"Morning gorgeous," he whispered as he leaned down to kiss my forehead.

I grinned. "Morning."

The door to the hospital room opened and a nurse came in. Eren scowled at her as she sneered at me. When she looked up at him her cherry lips spread into a sickening smile that twisted my gut. Eren slowly sat on the bed and I crawled behind him draping my arms over his shoulder.

"You've recovered quite nicely, prince."

"Yes he has. Hasn't he?" I smirked at her and kissed his neck making him shiver. "My prince is a strong man."

Her eyes soured as she took us in. Eren turned his head and kissed me before looking back at her. "Am I ready to leave now?"

"Yes. The healer at the palace has been given the instructions for your treatments there."

"I don't think that Algenae will be needed. Those instructions can be passed to me." Both of them looked at me surprised. "What? I am fully capable of healing thank you very much."

She snorted. "The only thing you seem to be capable of is ruining this kingdom."

Eren stood up, making me shriek and wrap my legs around him so I didn't get thrown to the floor. "That is enough! You are speaking to your future rulers. Watch your tongue or have it removed!" I flinched at his booming voice.

"She is a wretched siren that came here to tear apart the peace between the kingdoms! Ask any mer, even the other kings are getting restless with her presence. There haven't been any sea witches since your mother and she was as much of a wench as this sea slug!"

At this point I was beyond offended and when she brought up his mother, I lost it. I had her by her hair and flung her out of the room into the hall. Everyone in the hall stood still and people poured out of the rooms at the sound of her screams. Eren stood in the doorway as I lifted her by her throat and looked around at the people.

"I believe I have things that I need to clear up here," I said as Venenifer stirred in the back of my mind. "A lot of you don't like me but I don't care. I'm not here to make you like me. I am here to love the prince and help him rule his kingdom with as much dignity and care that I can muster." I threw the woman to the floor, satisfied with the sound of her body thumping on the linoleum. "I have a son who will become the new prince and he will be treated as such so help me Poseidon. And if I ever hear of anyone," I gripped the woman's hair lifting her off the floor onto her knees. "Trash the names of this family they will come to me and I will take care of you as I see fit. Remember this or it is you that shall be under my wrath." I tossed the nurse to a few of her co-workers. "Help her and get her out of my sight."

Eren," I said tiredly. "Can we go home now?"

He smiled and came to my side. "Of course. Shelby took Aiden back to your parents' house last night."

I nodded and we started pushing our way through the hall of people trying to see the woman. When we got out, a guard was standing at the doors smiling. He nodded at me and Eren before escorting us outside. Eren gripped my hand and we walked down the street, people gaping at us. I rolled my eyes when a group of girls snapped their gum at me and oggled my man. I also had to keep said man from attacking the gorgeous man that grabbed my ass at the crosswalk. The hospital had been located conveniently in beautiful Los Angeles. I sneered at the bikini clad women that would brush against Eren when they passed and held back Eren from attacking every man that got a little handsy when they got close. I'd flash them my eyes, making them go black before facing forward as they ran off. We got to the beach and Eren looked me over.
