Seren

She was gone. This was becoming a habit that I couldn't get over. Her necklace sat on my chest and felt like a hot coal. Why would she give this to me if she planned on coming home? There was a splash and I turned to see Cobius pull himself up out of the water with Georgia behind him. I immediately turned my back to them as they entered the boat to put something on. My eyes wandered off to the spot where she disappeared. I lost her again. She said to trust she was coming back, so why did she give me her necklace? Two large hands grabbed my shoulders and I whirled on them, shoving them back as hard as I could. Cobius looked at me like I was crazy. Georgia looked slightly frightened and looked around.

"Where is Ray?"

My heart stopped and I clasped the ring on the chain against my chest. She looked at it and covered her mouth to muffle her cry. I shook my head. "She isn't dead. Someone... her ex took her."

Cobius frowned. "The dead one?"

"Apparently he didn't die. Now she's going to give birth tomorrow and she's..."

Georgia grabbed my arm viciously. "She's pregnant and you let her get taken?"

I looked down and she whacked the back of my head. I slumped on the dock and twisted my fingers in frustration. Why was this happening? Why couldn't he have been dead like everyone thought? I felt delicate arms wrap around me, lifting me up to my feet before walking me to the door of the boat. I went straight to the bed and planted my face into a pillow. It smelled just like her. Like strawberries. I groaned and pounded my fist against the mattress. It was childish but what was I supposed to do? She was pregnant! But she told me to trust her to be back by morning. She promised and I know she doesn't break her promises. She's not like that.

I could hear the my friends talking on the other side of the door but it didn't even matter to me. I wanted to go after her but I knew that she could do this. I had to believe she could do this. The door to the bedroom opened and someone plopped on the bed. I was flipped on my back by Cobius as he glared down at me. I sat up and shoved him off the bed. I wasn't in the mood for this. I was pulled to the ground by him as he tried to get me in a headlock. I growled in annoyance and pounced on him, taking him down and putting my arm around his neck.

"Leave me alone, Cobius. I'm not in the mood," I growled.

He shoved out of my grip and laid on the bed. "Are you excited?"

I sat next to him on the edge of the bed. "What do you mean? Anilena is trapped in some nasty warehouse and you want to know if I'm excited?" I punched his side and smirked as he groaned in pain. "No, I'm not excited about that."

"You're so stupid, Eren. I'm talking about the kid. How did she take it?"

"Considering she's going through a nine month process in only two days, I'd say she's freaked out but handling it well."

He nodded as we fell into a comfortable silence. As I thought about what he said, I smiled because when I thought about it, I was excited. I was going to be a father. Anilena would be my wife and we would rule together. Then I laughed because the thought of Anilena sitting through a subject hearing was hilarious. She would be so blunt and straight-forward. But she would be an excellent mother. Everything in my world was new to her still. There was so much to teach her before she could step up to the position. But she was a strong woman and she could handle it. I looked over to see Cobius sleeping. Well then, looks like he won't be much help for a few hours. I got off of the mattress and went to where Georgia was folding clothes that were flung everywhere from others who had come here. Something in my gut twisted violently and I went dizzy.

Everything was blurry. I heard something but it wasn't Georgia, who was now yelling for Cobius and asking if I was okay. There was a voice pushing in the back of my head. I knew that voice. I shuddered violently and shoved back. They weren't going to take over my mind. Venenifer growled and pushed harder. I gritted my teeth as I pushed as hard as I could. There is no way she was doing this because she was supposed to be helping Anilena. She finally gave up because my vision cleared and I felt like my head wasn't going to explode. Georgia looked completely frightened as Cobius held her against him, glaring at me. I glared back because this wasn't my fault. I didn't ask the witch to invade my head. I picked myself off of the floor and looked out the window. The sun had completely set as the stars popped out, glittering in the sky. Anilena was trapped and I couldn't help. She was pregnant with my child and I couldn't save them.

I felt a tear roll down my cheek at the thought of losing my family. I just hope that I got them back before she goes into labor. She might be tough, but she wouldn't be able to do it alone. WIthout me there she wouldn't be able to get anyone's help. More tears rolled from my eyes and I shuddered at the thought. Whatever is going on in that warehouse, I just hope that she is safe.

(EXTREMELY SHORT! I KNOW! SORRY!)
