Okay, I tell myself. You're here to get water, and nothing else.
Alright. I got this.
I grab two waters (Percy was obviously lying when he said he didn't need anything) and start to crave something sweet.
Cravings...
No, Annabeth, everything is fine. You're fine.
On my way to the food isle, I pass the feminine products. I tell myself not to stop, but I do anyways. I look at the shelf and quickly grab a random pregnancy test off the shelf before my brain realizes what I'm doing.
I grab a Snickers and check out my things. I put the pregnancy test in my purse so Percy doesn't see it and head back out.
I had Percy a water and he smiles. "You knew I was lying."
I force a smile and he looks at me.
"Are you okay?" He asks, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm fine."
"Annabeth."
He grabs my hand and I look at him.
"You can tell me if something's wrong," he assures me. "It's what I'm here for."
I smile again. "Percy, I am perfectly fine."
He looks at me and I laugh. "I'm serious."
He smiles. "Alright. Let's go."
--------
I find Piper at camp and give her a hug. While I hug her, I whisper, "Meet me in my cabin in 10 minutes," in her ear.
She nods and I smile to her.
I head to my cabin and see Malcolm there.
"Malcolm," I didn't know he would be here. "What are you doing here?"
"You didn't hear?" He says. He sounds excited.
"No. What is it?"
"Jack is here!"
Jack is my older half brother. Everybody loves him, including me. To be honest, I'm probably his favorite sister (but don't tell anyone).
"Really? Where?"
"He's in the Hephaestus cabin right now, but he'll be in here tonight. He wanted to say goodbye to you."
I've been so caught up in everything else, I completely forgot that I was here because I was leaving.
Piper storms into the room, jarring me from my thoughts.
"Um, Malcolm," I tell him. "Why don't you go see if Jack needs any help."
"Okay!" He excitedly runs out of the cabin.
Piper looks at me. "Well, I'm here. What do you need to tell me?"
I sigh. "You might want to sit down."
She looks confused, but she sits on a bed and I sit across from her.
"Annabeth, what's wrong?" She sounds worried.
"Promise me you won't laugh. Or giggle or anything."
"Okay, I Promise. Now what is it?"
"Well, at first I wanted to talk to you because I thought you would be able to figure out why I was puking so much."
"What? Are you okay?"
"That depends on what you think. But, this morning I think I figured out why."
"Why? Annabeth, what's going on?"
